Swiffer Dust Mop, Purple

Works great for what it is. Easy to get it working right out of the store. But don't expect it to easily remove some dried material. May need to scrub dried crud with a stiff brush before using Swiffer. Does a good job on stains, spills, and material that can be liquified. Or even hair... Easy to remove old pad and replace it with new one. But be careful putting too much pressure scrubbing as someone broke our first one at the handle.

Well, after approximately 15 years, my Swiffer wet-jet only trickled. I just couldn’t live without one so I purchased this from Amazon. It was a good deal and you get several of two styles of mop pads, plus batteries included! One kind of pad isn’t one I’ve tried before. They look the same but have some kind of strip across the center. I think it said it’s supposed to sort of scrub. You know how some stuff needs a little scrubbing. I think I’ve decided this is the only kind of pads I will buy from now on. When I removed it after the first time using it was so dirty. The most I’ve ever seen when using a Swiffer mop. It has rained a lot lately so not sure my floors were just dirtier than usual. Hope not. I mop a lot. As far as the mop, I don’t remember my other one ever spraying this well. Maybe because I waited so long to get one I didn’t remember what a new one was like. Seems to fan out more in a more even spray area. And it doesn’t take a much of a spray to wet an area. The only negative is the pole part that goes into the body area wasn’t already inside it like shown. I thought at first it was broken because it was so hard to assemble. It scratched the thing it goes over but you can’t see it from outside of mop. I almost had to get my husband to assemble that part. The rest of it goes together perfectly and easy. There are no instructions included. It’s pretty self explanatory. But even if the pole going in doesn’t look like it fits, you can cram it on there and it does work.
