Review: Fouling issues with BR9RS and BR8RS give one a try! - I Have a 2000 KX125 which is stock with a NGK BR9RS plug and had tons of fouling problems so I switched to the BR8RS (hotter) which did have a slight improvement. So in typical troubleshooting fashion cleaned the Fuel system and Carb, replaced the jets and adjusted the fuel mixture slightly leaner 32:1 to 40:1 (don't ever go too lean unless you want to replace the top end all the time) and still fouled plugs. So I figured I'd give this a try. Yes it is more expensive but what a difference. With only changing the plug I solved all the fouling issues I was experiencing. Even at the correct fuel mixture hasn't fouled the plug yet! Definitely worth the extra $. Not to mention saving you all the time "troubleshooting". Even if you are not having any issue I would recommend giving one a try. You won't be disappointed.
