very nice handheld anemometer
I have a need to be able to measure the flow of air and was looking for a low cost solution that I could get fast. When I saw the BTMETER BT-100 handheld anemometer I decided to give it a try. One review I read while deciding which product to buy concerned difficulty in removing the battery door. The battery door is actually very easy to remove if you know how. To remove this door you first need to remove the two screws with the provided screwdriver. You then need to pull the door EXACTLY straight out. The fit is tight so if you lift one side more than the other it will make it much harder to pull out. With the two screws out I was able to put a fingernail under each side on the part that holds the screws and pry up. If you do this or something similar it is very easy to remove. The instructions for this meter are very minimal so my next couple of comments relate to use of the instrument. The device measures temperature and the spec is +/- 3.6F. A lot of the reviews complain that the temperature measurement doesn't work. I put it in a room that is approximately 71F. The temperature on the meter was 69.9F which is within the tolerance. The important thing to understand is that it is very slow to change. It took around 30 minutes to get up to that temperature (I didn't measure it initially because I didn't know it was so slow). I am not sure why it is so slow but if this is important to you than FYI. There is a button on the meter so you can display temperature in F or C. The main reason I got the meter was to be able to measure the flow of air. The fan blades are very sensitive to air flow. Just picking up the meter causes the fans blades to turn. I don't know about the accuracy of measurement for air flow. For my usage it is more important to get a number then I want to know the amount of change when I change things and for this usage the meter works great for me. The only problem I had was I sometimes put the meter in a spot where I could not see the display. I finally figured out how to work around this problem. There is a button labeled MAX/MIN. Pushing this button toggles it between MAX, MIN and nothing. If it is in MAX mode it will continue to display the maximum value when you remove the meter from the air flow. I started to use the meter in MAX mode in the cases where I could not see the display. The main cause of this problem was the minimal instructions that the meter has. There is a timeout (to save on battery drain) where the meter turns off and it is approximately 15 minutes. When it turns back on again the units I selected for air speed and temperature were preserved. The MAX/MIN setting was not. This is a quick review that I will update after I have used it for a longer period of time if there is something else of interest to add. At this point in time I am very happy with this meter. I got it overnight free with Amazon Prime!

GREAT Anemometer to use, and great for price too!
First off, Amazon must have this unit stocked locally; it came in a single work day. Second, it comes completely as described: hand held/tri-pod mountable unit, 2xAA batteries, small driver tool for battery cover, attachable lanyard, USB cord (not sure why needed), manual, and carry case. the BT-100APP has instructions to UR scan with smartphone for app, or search your preferred play store for "intelligent anemometer"; once downloaded a refresh on your Bluetooth will pair and you're "almost" ready to measure your temp and wind speed.. the manual and box, and online does not mention that you might have to get into your phone settings; go to the wind app, and set the option to download/save your data prior to collecting it... other than that, the unit operates as described, and I even had another temp gauge, AND another wind device nearby, and it is even more accurate and sensitive. the temp is within 1/10th of an AcuRite weather station, and old school mercury gauge; the rotary vanes are more than traditional anemometers, and the low friction bearings are activated by lower wind speeds. I've left it out on a tri-pod overnight and the Bluetooth to the phone works thru windows/walls to 30plus feet. after powering down unit, data on phone can be saved as .xls (excel) or .txt (text) and either emailed, or downloaded to laptop or tower. I own more than four different type/brands of wind measuring devices (I use them to dictate where to install wind turbines on client's properties/buildings), and the BTMeter is by far the nicest, AND easiest to use, AND retrieve and save data; PLUS, one of the least expensive! great product. I will be buying more, and recommending to anyone needing to gauge air volume/speed. Hope this helps someone.

I think it works fine, but the old men question it's accuracy.
For no other reason than their "old man gut" instinct, I've been told its not accurate, as in the wind is stronger than what the meter is reading. When I asked why they thought so, I was told, you don't live to be 77 years old and not know when a 5 mile vs. an 8 mile an hour wind feels like. SO really??? This is what I'm dealing with. It's easy to use, easy to read. The battery compartment was actually corroded and I had to take some steel wool to clean it out, but I think it's both accurate and easy to use for the price you pay. But who am I to challenge an old man who knows better by the virtue of just having lived longer in the wind, than a woman with technology in their hand who is younger. (side eye)

Accurate and Easy-to-Use Anemometer
I recently purchased the BTMETER BT-100 Handheld Anemometer, and I’m very impressed with its performance. This digital wind speed meter is perfect for measuring wind speed, air flow, and CFM, making it a versatile tool for both professionals and hobbyists. The device is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around and use on the go. The digital display is clear and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. I appreciate the straightforward button layout, which makes navigating the different modes simple, even for someone who's not particularly tech-savvy. One of the standout features is its accuracy. I’ve tested it in various conditions, and it consistently provides reliable readings. The built-in backlight is also a great addition for low-light situations. The BT-100 comes with a wrist strap and a protective pouch, which are nice touches that add to the overall convenience and durability of the product. Whether you're monitoring weather conditions for outdoor activities or checking airflow in HVAC systems, this anemometer gets the job done efficiently. Highly recommended for anyone needing a dependable and user-friendly wind speed meter!

Come rapporto qualità/prezzo mi sembra ottimo.
