Bright, alert, clean, fresh, woody... yet intriguing and mysterious
I have traveled far and wide and have smelled many patchouli oils. This is one of the finest you can buy commercially in the US at this price. The smell is classic patchouli - complex, earthy, dark and cold, musky, herbal and very woody. There is a faint but perceptible undertone of chocolate and leather. Strong notes of cedar. This particular oil possesses the unusual contradiction (prized by connoisseurs) of being both crisp but also slightly waxy in smell. Patchouli should not have notes of nutty (indicative of an aged product), or camphorous, and this one certainly does not. To the more advanced of perfumers, a patchouli may brandish a hint of mint. And that's okay, but personally, I prefer the oils without the mint note, as this one. To use a more visual comparison for those that "see" smells as I do: imagine a forest floor on a chilly morning after a rain - bright, alert, clean, fresh, woody... yet intriguing and mysterious. It reminds you of something, but you don't know what. All in all, one of the best to wear daily at an unbeatable price. Seller shipped promptly. Bottle was packaged safely and it was generously provisioned (filled to the very top). For what you get, the price cannot be beat.

I have been wearing Patchouli oil for years, and I am 70, I only purchased it on line because where I usually buy was on back order, don't waste your money, it's the worse smelling patchouli oil, it was thick and dark, could have been sitting on the shelve for years, I do not recommend, perfect example of buyer beware

Best patchouli I have smelled in many years!
This fragrance has been around for many years and is easily recognized on others. You either truly love it, which I do, or you don't. Very exotic and sensuous! The bonus is the precious bottle! Will buy again!

This has a lovely scent. Thought I was getting an actual spray for some reason but its just oil. Ariived through the mail super fast.
