All the butterflies have both colours. **Q: Were these butterflies killed or did they die of natural causes?** A: I do not have experience with this product specifically- but butterfly collected for display are typically killed. When butterflies reach the end of their natural life span, their wings are much more likely to be worn and tattered, and would not usually make a good specimen. **Q: I just order this. it’s beautiful! i want mine to be blue but i notice the pictures have some brown ones. will mine be blue?** A: The front is a beautiful blue but the backside of the butterfly is brown. Since there is glass on both front and back of the frame you will be able to look at both sides of the butterfly. Nature's camouflage.
