They reduced the daily electricity consumption of the lamp by a factor of 8-9 and that's despite them being brighter than the original incandescent bulbs they replaced.The only thing to make them better would have been a different arrangement of the filaments. They are parallel which can sometimes create a stripey light effect on the walls. I couldn't find bulbs with criss-cross filaments, and bought these instead.
