Difficult to assemble but worth it 😍
I love the look of these skate guards the design is amazing. It is a little hard to assemble but once you get the hang of it . It's not that bad . There are also a lot of helpful videos on YouTube . Also they were delivered really quickly. I would definitely recommend this product .

Pretty and work well, but some assembly required.
Great skate guards. Just need to know that you have to assemble them! There is a video on line for those that don't know how to do that - like me! Managed ok but for the size I needed had to pull the very strong spring while doing up the screw. A bit challenging but once done, very easy to use.

Love the look, perhaps not the best design for hockey skates
A popular/well known style of guard, easy enough to put together (and tutorials on YouTube to help). Love the green marbled look of them. Mostly rigid with just a bit of give. There are no drainage holes where the blade sits. Holes along the bottom are purely for the spring screws to thread through so might need to take care you let them dry properly and not leave cold/wet skates in them. They are designed to cut to fit, but might be a bit tough on a pair of scissors. I used a hand saw which worked but left the ends a little rough looking. Also worth noting that they may not sit perfectly if you don't cut quite straight. I bought these as I liked the look of them but I own hockey skates and the curvature of the blades mean these don't hold on them as easily. To help, I've cut them down to size at a slight angle so that under tension, they want to curve up a bit, but I'm not sure they are really aimed at hockey style skates.

How to assemble
To save people having to search for the video on YouTube, the way to assemble them is as follows. Put one bolt through the end hole in the slot and then screw the thread of that bolt into the loop at the end of another spring. Then the bolt on the second spring goes through the end hole of the other half and screws into the loop at the end of the first spring. You may have to screw bolt through the hole as well, if it's tight.

Look fun and good for the price but require dedicated set up
Looks great and everyone has asked me where I got them! There's nothing better than getting to make your skates look fun without having to spend excessive amounts on the premium brands. I’ve used them for a year now on two pairs of skates and they havent damaged my blades at all. Although they took a little trial and error to figure out the sizing for my skates, the ridges make this simpler to follow with a handsaw and a bit of sanding at the end makes it smooth so it won't catch. It was also easy enough to re-cut again when I bought shorter blades. It only took me a short while to cut and assemble them too. Only issue is as one side is shorter than the other I have to position them on the skates the short side forward or they make a clicking sound as I walk.

Work well once you figure out how to use them
They make a slight noise while walking (just on one foot!) as the parts are different sizes, but overall it does what it says on the tin!
