The BEST - Easily make excellent cold brew!
After trying multiple methods over the years (bags, separate filters, etc, etc), I finally found the Original Grind Coffee cold brew maker last September. Previously, it took me so much time to make cold brew, filter out sludge, transfer to clean jar, and clean up all the mess. Now the process is so simple! Grind beans, add water, and just wait. The gallon jar is durable and made of borosilicate glass. The filter is wonderful and I never get sludge in my cup. The lid is sturdy and airtight; in fact, I have to loosen it for the spigot to work. The spigot works great and does not leak - you may need to hand tighten if you experience leaks. My cold brew tastes great and keeps fresh to the last cup. Cleanup is easy, just flip the filter upside down in a bowl. Once it dries a bit, the coffee grinds release with a little thump to the bottom of the filter. Give it a rinse in the sink and itโs ready for the next batch. I highly recommend!

Solid cold brew maker - 1 year later
It has worked well over the past year. My only minor gripe is I have to take it out of the fridge and take off the lid to dispense the coffee. Otherwise it won't pour well and will drip leftover coffee into the fridge. I'm not sure how you'd change the design to avoid these issues. No cracks in the glass and no leaks. Very convenient, lasts over a week with one cup of joe per day. I either clean it with just dish soap or dish soap + white vinegar. Good stuff!

Awesome Cold Brew Maker for Larger Quantity Needs!
I really like this gallon-sized cold brew coffee maker! It's about the size of a large almond milk container, so it doesnโt take up too much space in the fridge, making it super convenient. I used about 1.75 cups of regular drip coffee and let it sit for 24 hours, and it produced the perfect concentration and flavor. The fine filter holds the grounds well, though a coarser grind might be better to avoid a little sediment, but even with drip-style, most of it settles below the spout, so it doesnโt end up in your glass. The spigot is sturdy and doesnโt drip, and the airtight lid keeps your brew fresh for longer. Plus, it comes with a handy cleaning brush! All in all, seems to be a good all-arounder. Iโm pretty impressed, and would definitely recommend it!

QUALITY PRODUCT, make sure you order from "Original Grind Co"
TL;DR - This product makes great cold brew. It is high quality, easy to clean, and Original Grind Co customer service is actually the best. Buy it. This is a very good quality product for anyone who enjoys cold brew. It is very simple to use. Simply fill the filter with ground coffee to your desired strength, pour over cold water, put in fridge overnight. The filter is very fine mesh, and with the position of the spout, I have not yet gotten any grounds in my coffee after making three batches of cold brew now. The metal and glass construction makes it very simple to clean out. The spout is metal, not plastic and that was something other drink dispensers do not usually have. I have not had any leaks from this product either. Make sure when you purchase it says "sold from Original Grind Co" and not a random third party seller. The third party sellers list under this item, wrongly, and then send you some random mason jar drink dispenser that is much lower quality with a plastic spout. This happened to me at first, and then it is impossible to get into contact with the third party seller. The last thing to say is Original Grind Co customer service is AWESOME. A problem that Amazon was very unhelpful in solving was resolved in a short afternoon when I contacted Original Grind Co directly. They will stand by their product and service even if you have an issue that is the fault of a third party seller trying to use this listing to deceive consumers.

Awesome cold brew system
Fits perfectly in my fridge. I'm used to cloth filters and was skeptical of the metal insert, but the mesh is extremely fine but durable and works well with medium-coarse grind. Not difficult to clean. Edit: As many buyers have experienced, the spigot is now leaking slightly. This isn't a dealbreaker for me since I just put Tupperware below it to catch the drips, and it's only a few drops every day.

My new Favorite way to make coffee
Cold brewed coffee, in case you have not had it, is much more enjoyable to most people than hot coffee. It is not bitter or acidic, so if you like your coffee black, Cold Brew is the very best way to make it! I use a fairly coarse grind like I would use in my french press, and I basically fill the micro perf screen basket with grounds, fill the jar with bottled water and throw it in the fridge for 24-36 hours, then remove the basket and top with more bottled water. This part is not necessary if you want to keep it at maximum strength. Personally I heat it up in the microwave and use stevia & whole milk sometimes, but if you drink it at refrigerator temperature, like I do sometimes, it needs nothing to be neutralize the absent acidity or bitterness to make it palatable. The valve moves smoothly and effortlessly. The only slight complaint is that the spigot will drip one drop after closing the valve sometimes so I put a paper towel in the drip landing zone. **Long usage update** So a few years of constant usage have passed, and I have to confess that messed it up by trying a new process. I have been heating a kettle of water for a first pour over the dry grounds, then rinse the grounds with cold water to fill the jug.. which improves the extraction of caffeine (with nearly zero change to the flavor of the finished product) but the hot water made the jar crack. I heard it happen two batches ago but did not notice the crack radiating from the spigot hole until yesterday when I was washing the jug for a new batch. It is worth pointing out that the crack did not cause a total failure of the jar (messy and/or dangerous), it only ran about 2 inches and stopped. Grateful for that. Definitely disappointed, but i do not blame the jug or seller for this, its my own fault. Just ordered a new one.

Easy clean up!!! Great cold brew!!
I have been making cold brew coffee for three years. I used to use a large six quart container, then after it steeped for 24 hours I would have to strain it. This was a long and messy process. It would take me about a half an hour, not counting the clean up time. This mesh steiner is great. I soaked and stirred the coffee just like the directions stated, then put it in the refrigerator for about 22 hours. In the morning I took out the strainer and placed it upside down in a shallow bowl. I left it for about an hour and when I came back I just lifted the strainer up and the coffee just slipped out. I then just rinsed the strainer in the sink. THAT WAS IT..... SO EASY!! And the coffee container and the metal spout are both quality made products . It is a little heavy to carry so if you're not strong you may need some help with that part. OH..... and the cold brew coffee tastes great... No sludge! A little tip.... I use Cafe bustello.... In the yellow can. It makes the perfect cold brew strength to mix with milk in iced coffee. And the can is the perfect amount to fit into the strainer.

This is a quality product
This cold brew coffee maker works perfectly for me. My biggest concern was the quality of the spigot and leakage. Fortunately it seems to be of good quality, The flow shuts off completely when the spigot is closed and there are no drips. The filter screen also seems to be well made. An insignificant few grounds are left in the jar when it's drained and the screen holds it's shape after multiple cleanings. The coffee tastes great (I use Chock Full O Nuts) and the flavor doesn't seem to degrade much over time. I'm not dependent on coffee, I mostly just enjoy the flavor of a cup in the morning, so a gallon lasts me about 2 weeks. The lid is a good design as it lets the coffee flow easily but this design means it fits somewhat loosely, so you don't want to lift or hold it by the lid. The jar and filter screen clean very easily. If you like cold brew, you cannot go wrong with this!
