I would not recommend it for your use. I measured the correlated color temperature (CCT) at around 5400 K (using a spectrum analyzer), but it's shifted a bit toward green. If you want accurate color you need a light source with a high Color Rendering Index (CRI). There are LED light sources that have high CRI but this isn't one of them.

How long is the cord?

6' long cord. Has a brick style power inverter plug and the other end plugs into the lamp base. Since the lamp is DC powered, the cord is about 3.4mm diameter thickness.

If left on, will this work/turn back on with a timer switch or something like an Aleaa smart plug.? Most need to press on button again.
