As good as most float switches around, low cost.
Most float switches available now are very poor quality. Jabsco, Johnson versions are genrally poor, attwood make a decent one but cost is well over double of this one. I reckon you'll get 1-4 years off most on the market MAXIMUM. However, most pumps fail due to poor wiring splices or crimps, so I would use these over a $60 one and use resin connectors and/or heatshrink. Don't over-torque the screws when you fit them to the bilge or the bracket. I would always fit these to a thin/long basic 'L' shape stainless bracket that holds it low in the bilge, for easy install and replacement. Durability 4 stars is because they're all made poorly now, mine are holding up well so far.

Easy to install
I replaced an existing float switch of a different brand. Just separated the float from the mount, installed the mount, clipped the float to the mount, and spliced the wires. Took no more than a half hour.

Works as advertised
Works as advertised. Easy direct replacement for the more expensive Rule float switch, and at a much better price. Hoping it will last as long at the name brand...

It's a normally closed switch or is defective
The description shows like it turns on when is up and off when is down, well the switch that I received works back-guards is close when its down. I did make it work for what I need it but the electronic circuit is always on. I am going to try another brand name switch, I believe it is defective. I tested with a multi-meter and it should work the other way. Plus it is not reversible because it has the wires on top and should be out of the water.

Buy a more expensive one
Works but it’s poor quality very fragile I’ll probably have to replace it in a few years
