I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU GET BLUMAT’S WATERING SYSTEM IF YOU LOVE YOUR PLANTS
I have been the black fingers pope of my plants. My initial problems were either over watering causing root rot or forgetting to water them. So, I bought one of those self-watering tubes to put into the plant ground thinking that would eliminate both problems. NOT! This only gave me two new problems. 1. I had no idea how much water was still in a glass-colored watering container stake. These stakes held less than a quarter cup of water which meant it required them to frequently be filled again. 2. It still did not resolve the issue of remembering when I needed to water my plants. Whereas as the BLUMAT watering stakes resolved all my issues. I no longer have any overing watering problems that cause root rot nor dry soil by forgetting to water them. The resolution came with BLUMAT’s simple watering system. Now I know all my plants get the right amount of water from my thirsty indoor peppermint to my not so thirsty aloe that only needs water every now and then. This means no more root rot. No more forgetting to water my plants. All I need to do is place a small glass beside my plants. All that is needed to do is to take the tube that runs from the stake and put it in the glass of water that you keep beside your plants. Your plants suck up the amount of water it needs from the glass using the tube from the spike. VIOLA, you have retired from your plants’ black finger pope’s position. Then relax and watch your plant flourish. There are four other things I do: 1. PUT A COFFEE TABLE COASTER under each glass to prevent water damage to wherever I place the glass of water. 2. PUT A LARGER GLASS TO ENSURE EACH PLANT gets watered properly where I have one area where I have three plants. 3. ADDED A WEEKLY REMINDER ON MY PHONE TO CHECK THE GLASSES OF WATER. It is easy to see how much water is needed since the BLUMAT’s watering system allows me to see how much water is in every glass at a glance that is aside the plants. 4. I KNOW HOW MUCH LIQUID FERTILIZER I NEED TO PUT INTO EACH GLASS according to MIRACLE GROWS’ plant growth liquid directions. Some prefer using their power. I prefer using the liquid in a pump as it makes it easier for me to determine how much to feed every plant as all it takes is to add the number of pumps, I need to push according to MIRACLE GROWS’. Best of luck using your BLUMAT watering system DOC

So Incredible, 10/10
No electricity, works great, lasts forever! Ive had these over a year and they work as good as day 1. I save my old gallon jugs and put a stake in each plant and they stay moist for many days! And if you don’t let your jugs run dry, you can just top them off periodically and it will just keep on watering. It is surprising to find a product this good in this day and age… incredible design, no stupid “smart tech”. Love it. Thank you!!!

Works great - follow instructions
I purchased these in advance of a vacation away from our home in sunny Arizona, and I am glad I did. We were away for five nights and my plants did great. This is now my standard way to water this plant, whether or not I am home. I am glad I ordered these early so that I could fiddle with the water levels in the water source and get it just right for each plant. These work, as long as you follow instructions. Some adjustments may be needed after your initial setup. Here are the steps: 1) Soak the spikes, tubes, and lids in water for a day. Soak all of the pieces, not just the spikes. 2) Dig a hole in your soil the size of the spike using a garden tool or spoon. Do NOT use the spike itself as it is made of fired clay and is relatively fragile. 3) Put your soaked spike in the soil. 4) Put the connected tube and the end of the tube in a water container such as a vase. 5) Thoroughly water your plant. 6) To increase water flow from spikes, raise the water vessel higher by putting it on a pedestal, box, or whatever. I didn't feel like water was getting to my plants at first so I raised the water vessel higher and the result was that the water overflowed out of the planter dish. I readjusted the levels on various plants to avoid that and saw that the plant was getting watered without the added elevation. Your mileage may vary. It makes sense to set these up a few days or a week before you need it to be working. Voila! It works.

The real deal
I got these plastic bottle cap things from Temu so we could travel and know our plants were safe. They were useless as they were cheap. Our daughter suggested we get these. I blanched at the price! Anyway I got a dozen to try. They work perfectly. I am using litter bottles with soluable fertilizer in it. Could not be more pleased with how they work.

ships all together, breaks in package
The product itself is great made decently well and works well once you figure it out in your system and soil. The packaging was so crap they toss 9 in a bag together and the cone parts snap being made out of clay. Your lucky to get half in your order than are not snapped in half and broken. If they shipped them with care it would be 5 stars.

Excellent and easy watering method when you leave town
Set these up in all my plants as I was taking a 21 day trip out of town. Easy to soak/prepare as directed. Easy to place in the dirt in all my plants. Came home and all my plants looked very healthy. Some were even flowering! I’m so pleased. Cleaned them up, will let them dry and definitely will reuse them in the future.

Vacation without worries!
This watering system is incredible. I left my home to Europe for 3 weeks, put a camera on my plants that couldn’t be moved to friends houses while I was away, and was thrilled to see my plants thriving the entire time with their Blumat cones! I came back to very happy and healthy, perfectly watered plants. I set them up with gallons of distilled water, and they all could have gone even more weeks without me. One is blooming now! My advice is to set the system up a few weeks before leaving to insure all lines are working. If there’s any air bubbles you discover — a plant not taking in water as it should — you can eradicate the air and fix the system before you leave. And adjust the height of your water reservoir as needed for any plant’s optimum watering. Blumat is a total game changer on watering plants while away!

YOUR PLANTS WILL ❤️ YOU!!!!!
Blumat Classic Automatic Plant Watering Stakes are AMAZING!!! I received them, followed the directions, my plants have never been happier. Here are my tips as per directions and reviews…. 1) Make sure you try them for at least 2 weeks before your planned vacation to make sure they are set up correctly. 2) make sure to lightly sand entire (pottery) surface of stakes 3) soak stakes and tops (attached to tubes) in a container for 1 hour 4) leaving both pieces in the container with water, make sure the stakes are filled with water (while you are holding it under the water) and place cap on and off several times until all the air has been released and there are no more air bubbles coming out of the end of tube. Watch carefully for this while all parts are submerged. 5) after watering your plants the “traditional” way, place stake into soil gently (without disrupting plant roots). Depending on the size of your plant, you might need additional stakes. 6) place the end of tube into container with water (depending on how long you are gone, the container should be large enough to hold a sufficient amount of water). ***after set up, you should notice water decreasing from the container. Keep in mind, if your soil was wet initially, your plant will require less water from the stakes. Once the soil is no longer wet from the “traditional” watering, you will notice your plant “drinking daily” from the stakes. If you see that one is not working, remove from soil, rinse, sand the stake again, soak, place cover on and off again several times (while your holding both pieces under water) until no bubbles come out of the tube anymore. Then place the stake in your soil and try again. The first time I used these for my plants (out of town for 5 weeks) I put all my plants into my bathroom, just in case the system did not Work properly. I wanted to make it easier for my neighbour to water everything in case it was no successful. (I had someone stop by weekly to make sure everything was ok). I also bought large buckets from Home Depot (approx. $3 each) so the plants were sure to have enough water. It worked perfectly!!!! My buckets were large enough, that my neighbour never had to add extra water. The plants “took what they needed”. When I returned home, my plants looked green and so happy. Actually better than “traditional” watering. I took them out of the bathroom and placed them all back where they belonged throughout my house. I was so happy with the results, I’ve decided to permanently “water” my plants with the stakes. Much easier and the plants love it! Last 4 pictures are plants in their permanent locations with stakes set up. I check water levels and add as necessary. Super easy!! It’s a little time consuming to set up initially, but well worth it!!! Plants will ❤️ You and you will save time in the long run!!! It’s been a month since I’ve returned and my plants are thriving and sooo happy!!! HIGHLY recommend! Read other reviews for tips!!! I have a lot of plants so I ordered 2 sets.

Struggled with fine tuning for house plants but work perfectly in the garden!
I've struggled with getting them right for house plants - 3 of my plants doing great, 2 have had way too much water coming through (my fault as no time to try and rectify). I have been working a lot lately and haven't had a chance to get outside to water the plants - consistent 35 to 40 Celsius every day. I've got half of my flower bed (pictured) set up with blumats and half without and you can clearly see the side flourishing! I'm very impressed.
