I think my ears must be oddly shaped and very non-symmetrical, since with some earphones one side stays in better than the other. Because of this I've always bought earphones that has the hook that wraps over the ear. With the previous earphones I've tried (namely a Sony one that was roughly $12 if I remember correctly) wobble around, leaving space between my ear and the earphone, so I'm not getting very good sound. And they do this even when I'm not doing anything particularly active, like walking around, or doing dishes, bending over to pick something up. Most movements would cause the earphones to move on my ear, so even though they were secure than just an earbud (without the hook), they still weren't great.Now, the Yurbuds Focus are the best that I have found for me. When I first got them, I put them on and shook my head a round a lot, headbanging like I was at a metal concert, and they didn't come off. I was really impressed! I have had these for several months now, and haven't had a problem with them falling out. I haven't really given them a try for working out, since I was just looking for any earphone to stay in my ears, but I'm sure they would pass the test. Because they fit so securely, I think the sound is great. I wouldn't consider myself on audiophile, so maybe my standards aren't very high for good sound, but to me the sound is clear and has a good bass presence. Probably not on the level of Bose or maybe more expensive Sony earphones, but works great for me.Now for some drawbacks. Other reviewers have reported some pain or discomfort with wearing these for a prolonged period. I have found this to be true as well. The earphones kind of grip your ears with the twist-lock function, and, depending on the size of your ears, the hooks may irritate behind your ears. I'm not sure if my ears have gotten used it, but I've found this bothered me less with time. I also think that I am just accepting this aspect of the earphones because they fit my ears best, so I'm more than willing to deal with a little discomfort. Another drawback is that the hook portion is not fixed to the earphone, so it can come off. I'm not sure what the purpose of this design is for. Maybe for adjustments? Maybe if it gets snagged on something it comes off so it won't pull your ear? I'm not sure, but they can come off relatively easily, so be aware of this when you're taking them off and putting them away. This has not been an issue for me when wearing them, only when I'm taking them off or moving them around when they are not on my ears.A tip I found for getting them in more securely is to pull upwards on the top portion of my ear when inserting and "twist-locking" the earphone. I believe this opens up the ear canal a bit more, so the earphone can settle into a better position.So overall, a couple small problems, but nothing too troublesome for me. I am really satisfied with my purchase and happy that I have earphones that actually stay in my ears. Everyone's ears are shaped differently, so it's hard to recommend this product for everyone since it may not be for everyone, but I do think it's at least worth a try if you're like me and has a history of earphones (even ones with hooks) falling out. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Yurbuds are fantastic! The design is perfect for my ear, and the sound is lightyears beyond any other earbud I have ever tried. I HIGHLY recommend this brand if you want quality sound with quality product.That being said, I bought THIS pair to take with me to the gym. I wanted something that was not going to fall out regardless of what I did. However, when I opened the shipping box, I realized I had made a grievous error. These Yurbuds were "For Women"... NOWHERE in the Amazon description did it say "Women". Needless to say, they will not fit my giant ears. Additionally - and I'm unsure whether this is a product design flaw or something I'm doing wrong - the over-ear hooks kept slipping off the ear buds. There is a plastic post on the "top" of the buds that fit up into the ear-hooks. At first I thought this was a clever idea. I thought "Oh, in case you didn't want to use the hooks, you could take them off... nice." Then I realized they wouldn't stay together. This could be because I'm trying to wrap these tiny little things around my enormous head-wings (thanks a lot Dad!) but just a little wiggle of the bud cause them to slip apart.Like I said, this could be user error, because when I realized they wouldn't fit, I tossed them back in the box and haven't touched them since.Regardless, I will be sending these back as soon as I am able. I have already searched and ordered a pair of Yurbuds that match my old pair...
