I chose this toner after hearing good things about Missha. This is my first non-Western toner so I don't have anything to compare it to other than Western toners I've used in the past (Sea Breeze, Clinique #2). It is VERY different from Western toners which usually have alcohol, are exfoliating and leave a cooling sensation. This toner is much more hydrating and leaves my skin feeling prepared for the next step (essence & serum). No acne break outs on my skin. There is a *very* light fragrance. The fragrance absolutely does not last on my skin and has not been irritating to my skin. My Skin Background: - dry - prone to acne breakouts along my jawline - some sun damage - prone to redness - eyes are sensitive to products that have heavy fragrance Review: Great toner for normal or combination skin - This is good toner. It is not the most hydrating toner that I have used but it cleans the skin well. It is not over drying and does leave a residue. Good toner for people that need a non stripping one but does not leave a film if you are prone to breakouts. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Didn't work for my dry, sensitive, fragile skin. *by A***N on April 12, 2016* I'm a halfie: half Asian (Korean) and half Caucasian. I am in my mid 30s and people think I am at least 10 years younger even though I smoke cigarettes and have done so for 20 years. I have my dad's Caucasian skin (dry, fragile, thin, sensitive) and I've always struggled with it. My mom always had an elaborate skincare routine, but she didn't utilize toner much, in spite of having normal skin most of her life. I actually turned her onto regular sunscreen use, some premier skincare products for maturing skin (that made a difference for me in my 30s), and exfoliation. I had high hopes for this toner, and another popular Korean cleanser, which I purchased as a part of a more comprehensive skincare routine. I used these with an essence along with my regular products (serums, masks, moisturizer) to treat my skin. I am not sure what caused my skin to react, but as soon as I introduced this toner and the reportedly "mild" cleanser, my skin started to peel after a about 2 weeks. I went from not cleansing my skin with any soap, EVER (because of bad experiences) -- or using anything that would strip or adjust it -- to using this. I tried this new routine because I wanted my other products to penetrate better (I pay a lot). Unfortunately, incorporating the cleanser and this toner stripped my skin and made it peel off of my face, in strips, and shed off onto my sweater, coat, and clothing in an embarrassing and conspicuous way. I can't think of what else caused my skin to react and have that "purging" look because I didn't change anything else. I don't know if I will order this again or finish the first bottle I tried, but I am doubtful. I am going to try again when it gets very hot and I sweat a lot, which will require more cleansing, -- and I can try to just use these sparingly -- but my hopes for cleaner, overall better hydrated skin, that was more receptive to my other products, didn't work. I think this may work well for those who don't have issues with sensitivity and extreme dryness.
