Review: This film kept my floors protected during an estate sale! It covered carpet, hardwood, and area rug! - This film was the perfect choice to come up my hardwood floors during an estate sale. It held up to a ton of foot traffic during a snowstorm. I didn’t want “germs” in my home and this did the trick. Removing it was easy but required some serious strength to pull off. It didn’t leave any residue and it came off in one piece. But the grip is very strong so you had to pull hard to get it off. But that is a testament to the quality of this product. I used it on a floor and was able to go from hardwood and on top of my area rug with ease. It stuck to both of the surfaces. I would imagine you could use this film for multiple uses. I also used it to cover up my carpet on the stairs leading to my basement to keep that clean. It was also easy to apply once you got the trick of pulling it first from the role, pushing it down with your hands and then pulling out another 3 to 5 inches at a time. I’m doing it that way it allowed for one person to do the application. I would imagine if two people did it. You could pull larger sections of the film, but that’s not always possible.

**Q: Can this be used on carpet?**
A: Having tried both products, you definitely want too get the CARPET film. It has a different adhesive than the blue hard surface film. I am skeptical that the blue hardwood film would work on carpets as it is much less tacky and barely sticks to hardwood. The carrot film suck very well to hard floors and was tedious too remove after a couple weeks, but no damage.

**Q: During removal, does all of the adhesive come back up with the film?**
A: Yes

**Q: Does this work on stairs?**
A: This product does not work well on any surface that you walk on more than one or two days. I tried to use it to protect our hardwood flooring and stairs while we were repainting the house. Within 2 days of prep work on the walls, this stuff was already lifting up and impossible to put back. Imagine trying to pull saran wrap back apart after you take it off a piece of cake that was covered in icing and crumbs, it just doesn't work like it did when you first wrapped it - you need a new piece.

**Q: What is the thickness of this product?**
A: I don't know the specific thickness but this protected the floors of our newly built home as movers carted many boxes in.

I thought it would stick to hardwood. Don't bother barely stuck to floors but I really needed it to stick to treads. but it only sticks to itself. But it may be good for carpet?
