Far from perfect
Easy enough to install. Once set up, operates more or less smoothly. But gives quite poor signal strength, and occasionally drops the connection for no reason. Annoyingly, it occasionally forgets the password, so you have to re-enter it (no idea why it does that!). Maybe once a week or so falls over completely, and needs to be hard rebooted. So yes, it does the job, but not exactly with flying colours. UPDATE: Having now used this for three months, I'm less and less happy with it. The reliability seems to only get worse with time, and a couple of times it has now messed up my USB ports so that nothing works until I reboot my laptop. Also, quite annoyed at how long it takes to establish a connection, which is made worse by the fact that the symbol on my status bar shows it as connected long before it actually gets internet access. The tagline for this dongle seems to be 'plug it, forget it' — if only! UPDATE 2: After a year of use, I've concluded that of the many problems with this dongle, the worst is how sensitive it is to even the slightest movement. It's very easy to slightly nudge it as you're using your laptop, and any movement, even by a fraction of a millimetre, causes it to drop connection, which can be a right royal pain to get back up. :(((

Very Very poor (Mac)
Purchased this product for use with MacOs. Realised out of the box does not support mojave (No drivers). Found beta drivers from US site, these installed fine but the connection was very poor, only working about 5% of the time. Very poor speed. Then would randomly stop working till a restart. Decided to give it a go on High sierra, same issue (high sierra is supposedly supported). Very poor connection, intermittent signal. Less than 10 feet away from router. Might be a dodgy one that i received but its so finicky trying to set it up i wont bother with a replacement!

Didn't work for me (Windows 10 Latest Update)
Unfortunately it didn't work on my custom made PC with a B450-A-Max motherboard, was able to see 2Ghz & 5Ghz network but wouldn't connect to 5Ghz network, tried a few different drivers and windows own driver and it just wouldn't work. It's a very nice WiFi dongle it's extremely small perfect for a laptop (which it did work perfectly fine on) Gets extremely hot when in use even after about 20-30 seconds it's almost too hot to hold after taking it out so make sure it's not left inside a USB extension on carpet.

13Mbps! Not what I would call an upgrade.
I purchased this device to upgrade my daughters wireless chipset in her Dell desktop PC. Chose this device as it promised up to 433Mbps on the 5GHz frequency and up to 200Mbps on the 2.4GHz frequency. Advertised as an ac compliant device which would be an upgrade to my daughter n device. Bearing in mind that the computer was receiving a download speed over wireless of 49 Mbps, I was hoping for a substantial upgrade. Alas, this was not meant to be. After a simple install using the latest driver from TP-Link, designed for Windows 10, I checked the Wireless properties and was surprised to see the Link status as 60up and 60 down, which was markedly slower than the in-built WIFI adaptor which reported 160up and 90 down. When testing using a reputable online test site, it reported my WIFI speed as 13Mbps. Swopped it out from the USB3 port to a USB2 port and it dropped to 7Mbps. In summary, this device is NOT fit for purpose as it reaches nowhere near the advertised speeds. A positive DOWNGRADE. I shall be returning the TP-Link T2U Nano for a full refund.

Will not hold connection for more than a few minutes. Requires router settings changes to work
This is my first review on any Amazon product because i want to warn people away from this. I bought this device in order to quickly connect my new built PC to WIFI whilst i sorted our running an Ethernet cable through. The device does not install easily and even with all the correct drivers it would not connect to the network. I then found out you need to log onto your routers settings interface and mess around with things such as the bandwidth and channels i order to have a chance of it working. After an hour of this it finally connected at an extremely slow speed. The next morning i then went to finally start using my PC and found that now every 1-10 minutes the adapter will stay connected to the Wifi but will lose internet connection. I then need to trouble shoot it from windows 10 network interface and it fixes for the next 1-10 minutes. After speaking to the Live Chat for 35 mins they still could not explain the issue and continued to ask me to restart my adapter, re install drivers etc which i have done countless times. Stay clear of this product and invest in something higher end or another brand

Functionally useless - would rate zero stars if I could
If you're wondering why this seems like a cheap bit of kit, it's because it's absolutely useless. There may be some value if you're sitting on top of your router, but the signal loss over even a modest distance is terrible when compared to a basic laptop with a built-in wifi card. What's more, the technical support desk knew even less than I did, telling me I needed to speak to BT (who provide my router) for help and that there was no way to force the device to use a 5GHz channel (there was - I found it via Google as the help desk kept stringing me along). The only resolution was to buy another bit of kit at 4 times the price, that actually had the ability to work over the necessary distance at an acceptable speed. Put simply, if you want to waste £10 then buy this product.

You NEED a USB extension cable for this to work properly!
Writing this after about an hour of trying to get this thing to run at some sort of acceptable standard, definitely not a "plug in and forget" type of hardware! So first off, I obviously tried just plugging it into my tower and seeing if that worked. It saw the wifi connection I wanted to connect to straight away, so that was good. Entered my password, got connected, it told me I had internet access but I definitely didn't as no websites would load. Tried switching the dongle into a different port, seemed to improve it a tiny bit, and by improve I mean it basically gave my PC the equivalent speed of a 28k modem! It was at the point where I wasn't sure if it was actually giving me internet or not since websites were loading so slowly. Then I figured to myself, "Well seemed like changing the port it was plugged in did have SOME sort of impact on the performance" and remembered I had an old 3m USB extension cable. I dug that out, routed it AWAY from my tower in almost a straight line, and suddenly went from about 0.3mb/s to about 25mb/s. Still not perfect, since my ipad gets about 50mb/s using it's wifi capabilities but this is at least something I can just about live with for a little while (I'm in a temporary living situation at my parent's house in between house moves so I just need a stop gap solution). So in conclusion, it quite likely will give you terrible performance if you try and plug it directly into your PC's tower, but if you have a spare USB extension cable, then the more distance you can get between the dongle and the tower, the better it seems to perform. EDIT: I've since decided this is worth 1 star at most - connection is probably the most unstable connection I've ever experienced! Longest I've gone without it cutting out is about 10 minutes. Then it just randomly disconnects and may reconnect straight away, or may take 20 minutes before it gets internet capabilities back. Using it's latest drivers, tried fiddling about with various settings to experiment, it doesn't make any difference. Funnily enough, connection actually cut out in the middle of me writing this edit! Worst gadget ever.

Frustratingly bad
Huge scam like all TP Link adapters. I've bought so many of these over the years hoping I could get a good wi-fi connection, it has never, ever worked, and always proved to be such a headache. I can't switch this from 2.4ghz to 5ghz on my PC, and I can't find a solution for it. The speed is terrible. Just disconnects randomly, even with the software installed. Literally, I have always, always hated wi-fi adapters, none of them work as intended on any of the systems I have used them on, even after rigorous attempts to "fix" the problems that come packaged with this hardware. Over the years, instead of using wi-fi adapters for internet connection on my PC, it has proved to be faster and more reliable to connect my phone to my PC via USB and tether my phone's wi-fi connection instead. It is so frustrating that I have bought a product many times for the sole purpose of internet connectivity, yet my phone is able to do it 1000x more efficiently. So bloody frustrating. Do not buy. You will pull your hair out.
