I have had this whisk for a few years now, and it is going strong. **Q: How many inches long is the handle?** A: Wow! Well it's interesting that you will get three different answers here! I double-checked after I read the other two answers below... Mine is 4 7/8" including the metal attachment cuff. The black part is almost exactly 4 inches long. I find this whisk is really comfortable to use. I am a woman with average size hands. The grip is like the name says, good. **Q: Is this considered a French whisk?** A: This is not a classic French whisk. I have every whisk known to cooks and I find that this sort of hybrid shape works for just about everything.
