Worked perfectly. Amp recognized it right away. I have recalibrated all ten speakers perfectly every time

Happy that it was exactly the same mic that came with the receiver. I even used it on a Sony Receiver and it worked on that one too perfectly. I just put it on a tripod. Would buy again.

It is the OEM Yamaha microphone. It works as expected, but YPAO from what I've experienced just doesn't do much of anything good. It's accurate with speaker distance but that's about it. If you bought a used Yamaha receiver I wouldn't waste the money. - Measure the distance of each speaker yourself - Download a simple SPL meter on your phone and measure the levels of each speaker using the Yamaha settings to play the test tone - Adjust them to your liking after that little by little until you find what you like Works better than the microphone and YPAO calibration

I've been using a Yamaha home theater amp for over a decade. I remodeled my home recently, and when I moved all the speakers to new locations, the sound was WONKY! Over the years I've lost the original YPAO microphone. I ordered this one on the chance it would work for me. Luckily, it did! FINALLY my 7 speakers are balanced again so I can hear the surround sound! Excellent! Best of all, the microphone was less expensive than expected Good deal!

This work like it suppose to It is a original mic for the Yamaha 2080 receiver that was misplaced. I ordered this one and it work. However I eventually found the the one mic that was misplaced later. I still kept this one just in case it happens again.

nice long cable, registered as a microphone just fine for pioneer receiver mcacc, resulting calibration seems good

Purchased it to calibrate the speakers on my Yamaha Aventage RX-A1050 receiver. Worked perfectly.

I'd misplaced my original, and since I'd upgrade my home theater room I thought it was a good idea to recalibrate my speakers. Ordered this replacement microphone. It arrived today (1 day earlier than they said it would actually). I used it right away and it worked exactly as it is supposed to. Thanks for the speedy service. Cheers.
