Accusize Industrial Tools 1/4'' 8 Pc H.S.S. Tool Bit Set, Pre-Ground for Turning and Facing Work, 2662-2001

I primarily got these hss bits because I liked the assortment provided and the fact that they came with a case to keep them organized. On inspection, they appear to be a decent quality for the price; they're sharp and the grind looks to be OK by my eyes. I tested them on some aluminum round and brass hex stock and the cuts were good quality and chip control was good too. I haven't done harder metal, but for the softer metals and plastics, I anticipate these will be fine. I don't really have any long term usage to report but preliminary impression is good; I don't know what the alloy composition is, so that could affect the edge life and how they perform in harder metal, but so far so good.

So far these turning tools have been fantastic for my old lathe, they stay sharp for a long time and seem to handle everything from aluminum to mild steel just fine, thanks to them being pre-ground they're very easy to sharpen and hone when needed, the fit and finish on them is absolutely amazing.

Works good, great grind on the angles, and useable from the start.

I've used this set of tools for a month with my Grizzly 10x22 lathe. The tools were mounted in quick-change tool holders. Most of my cutting has been with 12L14 steel, but I've also used the tools to face and cut C110 copper and Delrin (acetal). The tools have remained sharp so far. In summary, I'm pleased with this purchase.

Really kind of hate paying for useless fancy packaging like these cutters coming in a fancy plastic and metal box when the first thing a user will do with them is take them out of the box and never use it again. Makes the product cost more, wastes resources and is totally useless. Wrap them in bubble wrap and stick them in a cardboard box. But the cutters are nice and sharp, so that's great.

Comes in a nice case good looking tools. Seems well made and no problems.
