The Breather is for people who have a compromised lung capacity. Breather Fit is for people with normal lung capacity all the way to world-class athletes. See this PDF for comparative pressure readings - https://www.pnmedical.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Breather-vs-Breather-Fit-Pressure-settings-2p-V2.pdf **Q: What are the recommended cleaning and care instructions?** A: Your Breather will be exposed to saliva during use, so regular cleaning is important. It is recommended that you clean the Breather Fit daily. Please note that Breather Fit is a single patient use device, and all cleaning recommendations provided assume that the device is being utilized by only one individual. Everyday Cleaning Instructions - Separate Breather from mouthpiece - Wash in warm water with mild dishwashing soap - Rinse well - Towel dry outer surfaces and thoroughly shake off excess water - Air dry and store in non-humid location **Q: What is the warranty for the Breather Fit?** A: PN Medical, Inc. (“PN Medical”) warrants that its “The Breather” products (“Products”) will be free from manufacturing defects for one (1) year from the date of purchase. This warranty applies only to Products that were purchased from PN Medical or a PN Medical-authorized retailer, unless otherwise prohibited by law. As the Breather Fit is a single user device, returns of working devices are not permitted. Purchasers of Products who wish to make a warranty claim based upon a Product defect should call 877-414-4449. **Q: I currently use the breather. i am excited to see a new product, please tell me how this is different than the blue and white breather i have now?** A: Both the Breather and the Breather Fit are Respiratory Muscle Trainers (RMT) The Breather is designed for respiratory impaired patients with pulmonary and neuromuscular diseases, speech and swallowing issues, and adults interested in healthy aging and improving quality of life. It is also used by children aged 8 and above. The new Breather Fit builds from the success of the original Breather, and is designed to help professional athletes, triathletes, and Olympians gain a competitive edge. RMT is scientifically proven to extend time to fatigue, improve cardio performance, increase V02 max levels, reduce exercise-limiting dyspnea, and extend lactate threshold in athletes. Respiratory Muscle Training is also used to strengthen diaphragmatic muscles, delivering greater vocal and instrument range for entertainers. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Effective, Easy to Use, and Worth It *by S***N on September 19, 2025* Pros: Very effective—improves breathing strength Solid quality and durable build Two mouthpieces included No setup required, very easy to use Portable and practical fitness tool Cons: Pricey compared to alternatives Overall, a totally effective tool for anyone wanting to improve respiratory performance. (I am not an athlete, just getting started at the gym) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very powerful. Highly recommend. *by J***N on June 27, 2026* My doctor advised me to get this due to some complications I was having after pneumonia. It comes with an app that is interactive, works well, and helps you with the timing of breathing and how deep to breathe. Very well thought out, really cool product. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A mixed bag *by J***J on March 26, 2022* I'm a speech language pathologist who has used expiratory muscle strength training with some of my patients with swallowing disorders. When I heard about the Breather Fit during a continuing education unit (the presenter wasn't affiliated with the company and discusssed a variety of products from various manufacturers), I was curious and decided to check it out since I am also a recreational runner. The breather fit is both an IMST (inspiratory muscle strength) and an EMST (expiratory muscle strength) devuce. I found that the research on respiratory muscle strength training for athletes primarily focuses on inspiratory muscle strength and has generally found modest improvements in various areas including performance, although the research is far less compelling than the use of EMST in swallowing. I was still curious, so I purchased a Breather Fit, and I've been following the protocol for 2 weeks, since March 10th. Above, I have attached my Garmin watch's estimate of my VO2 max. Watches are not particularly good at calculating a precise VO2 max, so take the above with a grain of salt. You will see that coming off a long winter of dealing with snow, ice, and an injury, I had lost some fitness. Starting within days of when I began using the Breather Fit I regained it and then some. It should also be noted that I started training harder at that time as well, so it's impossible to say how much of the gains were due to the breather fit vs. training. I will say that my estimated VO2 max is higher than it was even at peak training a couple years ago, and I am noticing less perceived exertion at a given pace. Now for the product itself. It does work as advertised for me, although as others have mentioned it feels a little bit cheap in the hand. My main concern is that the protocol specifies that you should be working at a seven or eight out of 10 exertion level. After 2 weeks, even with the Breather Fit on the settings to provide the most resistance, it's too easy unless I cup my hand around the intake and output ports to provide additional resistance. For reference, I'm a woman in my late 30s, living and training at 5,000 ft. The app leaves a lot to be desired. It does a decent job of walking you through your daily exercises by telling you when to breathe in and breathe out and timing your 1 minute rest break between sets. However, for the first time in my life I have actually sort of wanted some notifications; it doesn't have the ability to remind you to do your exercises, although it can email you if you miss a few days. The protocol also specifies that you should not use the breather fit on days that you compete or have a hard work out, but there's no way to tell it that you're skipping a day for that reason, which is annoying if like me you enjoy seeing a perfect streak. As you can see in the screenshot above, the handy little infographic showing you how many tasks you've completed and how many breaths you've taken doesn't work, as I've done all of my sets for today but it's still saying zero. Contrary to some of the older reviews, however, there is an Android app. All in all, I would say that this product is worth checking out if you're an athlete looking for that extra little edge or just easier-feeling workouts It's not a miracle device (don't look for me in the 2024 Summer Olympics), but it may be that boost you need if you want to eek out a PR this year. ## Frequently Bought Together - The Breather Fit Respiratory Lung Trainer | Improve Breathing & Recovery | Strengthen Lungs | Boost Endurance & Performance | Guided Coaching App Included - FBLFOBELI EVA Hard Carrying Case Compatible with The Breather Fit Hand-Held Inspiratory Expiratory Muscle Trainer (Orange, Case Only) - THE BREATHER │ Natural Breathing Exerciser Trainer For Drug-Free Respiratory Therapy │ Breathe Easier with Stronger Lungs │ Guided Mobile Training App Included --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.id/products/94288733-breather-fit](https://www.desertcart.id/products/94288733-breather-fit) --- *Product available on Desertcart Indonesia* *Store origin: ID* *Last updated: 2026-10-03*
