Bright, focused beam.Reason for 2-stars (vs 3, 4 or 5): There is a separate current limiting circuit board not shown in the picture. This small (about 1-inch square) board has no means of mounting- no screw or post holes. It either freely hangs or needs to be taped down somehow. More significantly, this is most definitely NOT an eye-ball light. While it appears to be a ball mounted LED, you'll be lucky to get 5 degrees of motion in any direction. The 2 screws that hold the retainer (the silver, pointed arm in the photo) extend into the ball, and prevent motion. If you back out the screws, the ball becomes loose and freely rotates, resulting in loosening of the retainer ring.
