Santoku 8" chef knife

I bought this knife as a Christmas gift and was very happy with the quality of it. The box the knife comes in and the knife itself are both beautifully designed. The knife cuts very smoothly and stays sharp. I Would recommend as a gift to yourself or someone else!

I've only had this knife for a couple weeks, but so far so great. It has rounded out my existing set of Wüsthof Ikons and Shun nakiri. Pros: - This is a gorgeous knife and looks exactly like the product image, down to the attractive Damascus pattern. - It's a substantial knife, with a solid-feeling, full tang handle. - The weight is balanced towards the middle, seemingly offering the most flexibility for control, depending on how you're using it and what you're using it on. - It's very sharp. And, I assume w/ the VG-10, will remain sharp and sharpenable for a long time. - This is my only knife w/ the granton indentations on the blade and it really helps w/ food release on smooth, wet things (I'm looking at you cucumbers). Cons: - The "presentation" box leaves a bit to be desired. It doesn't deserve a deduction in rating points, though, as I didn't plan on using for presentation and it is sturdy and convenient enough to be useful for storage/protection.

Great knife, arrived razor sharp and looks fantastic. My only complaint is that the “presentation” box it came in was VERY dusty upon delivery and had a piece of packing tape on it (I assume to keep it closed during transport) which ruined the look of the box once removed. Other than that, great value and a quality knife that I’m sure I’ll use for years.

While we only received this knife about a week ago, it has quickly become our go-to. It is a beautiful knife, that is well balanced and feels great in our hands. As expected, it is extremely sharp and cuts through everything with ease.

The first thing that I noticed is how attractive this knife is and then I picked up. It is so well-balanced in the hand that it is a pleasure to use. Pretty is as pretty does and this knife is both aesthetically pleasing and ergonomically sound. Best knife I have ever used.

I bought this knife and think its beautiful and sharpens easily. However, before I could use it I had to smooth down the rivets. They were protruding from the handle with very sharp edges.

I've used the knife for 3 weeks and couldn't be happier. It cuts my sushi beautifully and chops with an easy rocking motion. Unlike more rounded handles this knife sits in my hand very comfortably. It is a great purchase.

I definitely would give a 0-star rating if I could. I received my knife 4 days ago, it came in a beautiful blue box. Unfortunately, all 3 metal studs on the knife handle are loose, sharp on edges, and protruding from the surface of both sides of handle. It is dangerous to hold with a great possibility of cutting your precious holding hand. It is too bad that one can not cut with that beautiful blue box. Such an obvious flaw is called cheating. Since it was part of my multiple items order and came without picking list nor return information, now I have to figure out how to return this beautiful junk, wasting time shouldn’t you say!
