I had this case for one day. I was not sure if I liked it because I read in bed on my back. There was no mechanism to keep the case folded back. My old case for my old kindle had a strap to keep it secured fully open. However, the clincher came the next day. I had the case closed with my iPhone on top of it all night (a very modest weight), in the morning the screen was super messed up. I turned it off and back on, but it didn’t help. I suspected that because the new kindle has a flat screen, totally flush with the edges of the kindle, unlike the old kindle where the screen was slightly recessed, that the pressure of the strap on the screen all night really did a number on the screen. It is either that or the magnet used to open/close the case is too much for the kindle. Either way, I was totally panicked that the case had destroyed my new kindle. I took my kindle out of this case and put it in my slightly (just by a week) older case with no strap, and when I got home from work my kindle was fine. Thank goodness. I don’t think I’ll keep this case, but for $6.00 it wasn’t much of a risk... It is convenient that when shut, it turns OFF my Kindle Paperwhite, but I dislike that it does not STAY open while I am reading.
