Targus Pro-Tek Rotating Case for 11-Inch iPad Pro, Black (THZ743GL)

This is a review of model number THZ67302GL (Navy Blue). Note that the other colors are completely different designs, not just different color. The Navy Blue fits both the iPad Pro 10.5" and the iPad Air 10.5" (2019). Color is very dark blue. It fits the iPad very well. The case is part rubbery, part solid. Only rubber touches the iPad, so the iPad will not be scratched by the case. It has a raised lip that protects the front of the screen as well. All the openings are well placed. The camera hole can accommodate both the iPad Pro (with flash) and iPad Air (no flash). The volume button cutout is a little off center (at least with iPad Air 10.5, I don't have iPad Pro to test) but the buttons are still accessible. The inside of the front cover is rubberized as well, so when you position the iPad in landscape mode, it can stay in many viewing angles without sliding. The sleep function on this model works perfect. The speakers horn is a nice touch, and enhances the sound. The case adds a little to all dimensions, but it is not overly big nor heavy. The slots in the back are supposed to help with ventilating the iPad, but I doubt they do much. They could let dirt in, which would not be great. Overall, It is a well designed, very nice quality case. I think if they used a little stiffer (or maybe thicker?) rubber, or maybe wider lip around the screen, it would have secured and protected the iPad even better. I just got it and I hope it will last!

I use the "Targus Pro-Tek case" on my "ipad pro 10.5" and my "ipad mini 4". I've tried a handful of other case brands, but this model seems to give the best drop protection and fits securely on the ipads. It's saved my ipads from several drops onto our hard wood floors by my daughter. It's not a bulky case. Easy to hand hold in different ways. Allows variable angle placement for holding up the screen on table. Turns the ipad off and on when cover is closed. Vents on back help prevent overheating of ipad. Very durable and is the only ipad cover that i've had that hasn't cracked/torn with use. The ipad pro 10.5 model redirects the sound from the speakers forward, which gives a better sound stage while listening to music and videos. I highly recommend this case.

This is a decent case for the price. It is well made and rugged. Pros - cutouts are good - side, back, and corner protection seems good - the rotation feature is useful - the screen on/off works Cons - the case doesn’t allow the pencil to charge. There is actually a groove for it on the side for the pencil...and if you press down on the pencil it will start charging. Targus came so close. Next time get this part right. - the cover does not overlap the case edges. It fits inside the case edges when the tablet is closed. This means that the case is more compact when closed, but in my opinion it may provide less crush protection - the final con is actually the most problematic. The outside of the cover is actually a bit slippery. The ridges help prevent it from being difficult to hold when the case is closed. However the tablet is difficult to hold with the cover is turned back like a book because the front cover and back cover slide against each other.

I have only had this case for 3 days, but It is already my favorite. First off, I know that a lot of people have gripped about it not having the sleep wake function, and that kept me from buying this case. But now that I have it I can assure you, they are wrong. I uploaded a video that proves it has the magnets to make it work. PROS: Speaker Amplification; I have decided that I refuse to buy a case that doesn't have the sound redirect chambers. I don't have to turn up the volume as loud, and the sound is more balanced. The sound is thrown at you instead of wasted into the atmosphere around you. Truly a must have feature for me! Sleep/wake magnets; Again, I'm just throwing this in the "Pro" column because it does indeed have it. Thickness; Ok ok, this is both a pro and a con. It doubles the thickness, but It is so much less fragile. This morning I had my tablet set up to watch netflix whilst cooking breakfast and for reasons unbeknownst to me, this iPad did a Simone Biles and double-back-flip-corkscrew-head-spun off the kitchen counter. Then it flailed around on the ground for what felt like half of my life time bouncing like a rubber ball off each corner of the tablet and landing face down, all the while my eggs are getting tough in the skillet and my mouth is wide open. Anyways, I sullenly bent down and picked it up but everything was 100% fine, "New Girl" was still running and my eggs were fine. All is good! Texture; Very easy to grip and hold onto. the outside is a rough (but soft) cloth that gives you MUCH better grip than the naked tablet or cheap TPU cases. And the inside is a very grippy rubber so you can literally set your tablet to any viewing angle and it will stay. No Preset angles here! CONS: Thickness; YUP! It is a con also. This case just a little more than doubles the tablets size depth wise. But width and height are still almost the same. Even with the sound chambers. So, it is a very slight con, really not a deal breaker at all. Quality control; My case has a piece of dirt under the cover and there is a little bubble where the adhesive didn't take (See picture). I would have expected one of the most expensive cases I have to have better quality control than a 9$ case. This isn't a deal breaker, but it isn't great either. I know it sounds whiny to talk about a bubble in the cover. But, 40$ for a case... that is a lot of money for quality you don't receive. Closure flap Magnet; The closure magnet on the end of that little flap is quite weak. It flops open and doesn't hold the cover tight like I would want it to. Again, not a deal breaker, but it is an annoyance. All in all, I would totally recommend this case if you want the best combo of protection, and features.

this is a very solid ipad case. i have had it for the last several years and aside from it getting really dirty, it still holds up very well. i highly suggest you purchase this case if youre still looking for a case to use

The Targus iPad case is wonderful, offering protection while correctly fitted, lightweight and with plenty of viewing/use positions. Ordered another for grandson who liked versatility in stable viewing positions. I like protection mostly, but also appreciate enhanced listening because speaker output is directed toward user.

Nice, durable case, but......had to adjust the on-off hole so the ipad didn't stay on all the time. Unable to use fingerprint ID due to size & depth of same hole. Solid case, but access is the issue-

this case makes ipad heavy but undoubtedly this provides the best protection. I have even thrown may iPad with this case on and nothing happened. Not even a scratch. Cons: 1. Hinders the speaker quality a bit.

Matériel de qualité, les rainures sont profondes à la base (génial). La protection des coins est très forte, peut-être trop même (génial) ! Les coins s'insèrent bien dans les rainures pour les positions portrait et paysage. La position portrait est OK dans 2 des 4 rainures. La position paysage est OK dans les 4 rainures. L'épaisseur de la couverture est d'au moins 5 à 7 mm en raison des rainures profondes (génial). Cependant, comme pour la plupart des couvertures, s'asseoir dessus ne serait pas une bonne idée. Il peut résister à des charges raisonnables certainement (déposées ou en chute). N'essayez pas de faire chuter le IPAD sur un coin, pas une bonne idée à mon avis (solide, mais risqué). L'aimant est OK, le pivot arrière est OK. L'écran du IPAD s'allume ou s'éteint en ouvrant / fermant la couverture. Tous les boutons/connexions/caméras de mon IPAD Air 2 sont accessibles sans problème. Le son passe bien, aucune surchauffe. Le IPAD tient très bien dans sa gaine (son cadre). Aucun commentaire négatif. Je vais l'acheter à nouveau sans problème.
