6 Foot Spinning Flag Pole

Great quality flag pole. Other poles I have had in the past have either rusted out or didn't have the spinning mechanism ball bearings, thus my flag would wrap itself around the pole. All of the other poles I have had were only 5 feet long where the full-sized flags would be close to the ground. This pole offers an extra foot so the flag not only clears the house better but also doesn't get caught in the gutters, lying on the roof, etc. It seems to be well made and being non-painted aluminum, it won't rust and I don't have to worry about any paint flaking off. If you use grommet flags, it comes with plastic rings for holding the flag. However, since my flags are sleeved and I use the swivel hook at the tip, I can't comment on how well the grommet rings hold. Overall, I am quite pleased with the flag pole. Delivery was prompt and packaging was secure. A buyer cannot go wrong with Amazon.com, and being a "Prime" member, I received my order within a few days, despite the bad weather affecting shipment from the North. Thanks Amazon!

I was a slave to my flag. No more! It was time to retire my faded, beginning-to-tatter old friend. (I do this annually, on Independence Day.) It was also time to replace the years-old, weathered wooden pole. The Florida sun is brutal! I was skeptical of the spinning pole but purchased this one because of the silver ball at the end. Yeah, I know, it's made of cheesy plastic, but would an actual chrome ball look any different up in the air? Time will tell; but for now, it's great, all shiny in the sun! Flag attachment was a bit of a challenge. Since the new flag grommets are bigger than the plastic (?!) screws, I just can't see that's a secure fastening. But...the plastic screw is bigger than the metal clip. (3 included) The attached top clip was not a problem, once I rigged the second clip beneath the screw, the bottom was no longer a problem either. Not as intended, not like the video, but seems to work just fine. Better than just fine! Old flag/pole, I was unwrapping it a dozen times a day. Since July 4th? Only twice! And those weren't even full on wraps, more like a slight drape over the pole. (vs. the dreaded three-wrapper requiring a stick to unwrap) In those two instances, I imagine the flag would have righted itself eventually, but the muscle memory of tending to the flag is strong! Now, instead of wrapping, my flag snaps smartly in the breeze. Just delightful! Overall, I am very pleased with this flag pole. Can't say I would purchase again, because by the time I have to replace this pole, there will be an even better one out there? IDK. But it better have a silver ball! Side note: I live in a town home community. On my street there are 9 American flags. Only because it was July 4th, I took my flag stick to unwrap everyone else's flags. (Because for some, flag tending is not a thing. I'm retired Military, for me it is definitely a thing.) Curiously, 5 of them are mounted on various, weathered, 'spinning' flag poles that no longer spin. When/if mine gets to that point, I'm thinking a couple shots of WD-40 will do the trick. Flying the American flag is not a competition. Of course it's not! Who would think such a thing?! But...having the best flag set-up at the end of the block makes me very happy!

Replaced as it broke in strong winds. Works excellent in winds and didn't get wrapped up at all, just have to bring it in for very strong winds and not fainting the product for that.

This is the 2nd Sports Flags Pennants Company flagpole I’ve bought. The first one snapped during a storm in Dec so I bought a new one. The new one seems to get stuck constantly and doesn’t rotate freely. The result is my flag being wrapped up. It’s even a little difficult to unroll the flag when it’s wrapped up because the pole doesn’t rotate smoothly/freely. The pictures show how the flag ends up stuck at least 5 times a day. Literally every time I leave the house I have to give it a tug to release it.

Easy to attach both a normal flag and grommet flag. The spinning portion reduces the need to constantly untangle the flag.

My flag never gets twisted up on the flag pole anymore.
