Sticky, Stays Put, Doesn't leave residue, soft. Alien technology.
This is exactly what I wanted and expected. I've used a number of similar material products before. I recently got old enough to need driving glasses and wanted to be able to toss them recklessly on my dashboard. This bizarre material is like the skin of some alien ooze monster. The glasses stay put exactly where I put them, but picking them back up takes a little patience. It's a bit like the pad has grabbed any item it touches and one has to plan on a 1-2 second gentle pull. It survived on the dash of our car in an extremely hot summer area and at 9 months, it's performing perfectly. Cut it with a very sharp, new razor blade on a cardboard or paper-topped softwood backing so your blade can go fully through the material.

good for tree farmers
As a timber farmer, my husband uses a chain saw a lot, and his fingers were developing numbness from that. He wrapped these sorbothane sheets around his chainsaw handle and they're working great to cut down on the vibration when he's thinning a stand.

Works very well, but it's heavy.
Just like the headline says, the Sorbothane works incredibly well for vibration absorption, especially in videography applications, but in aerial video applications it's a bit on the heavy side. If you're using this for an application where weight doesn't matter, it does it's job well.

great isolation material
The sobothane comes in a sheet covered on both sides with removable clear plastic sheeting. It's remarkably challenging to cut in part because of the protective sheets - this stuff is soft and sticks, which is good and what I was hoping for. It's gummy quality allows it to seat between my speakers and their metal stands. It's exactly what I wanted, though perhaps a shade thicker than expected. I'd recommend cutting it with a razor, exacto or similarly very sharp knife. A bit pricey but does the trick.

Great stuff
This is worth every penny. I mounted two squares I cut from the sheet under my Hero 3 Black mounted on my DJI Phantom and this got rid of 90% of the jello effect, balanced my props and the jello effect is not a problem and I don't use a gimbal. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to cut down on vibration when filming.

I cut them up and use them for shoe insoles
The most energy-absorbing plastic I've ever found. I cut them up and use them for shoe insoles. A bargain compared to off-the shelf insoles. Only flaw: Since it's not fabric-covered, it's fairly sticky. But a small dose of foot powder fixes that.

Amazing!
I had hard rubber isolating pads under each of the "feed" of my washer and dryer, but the both applicances (especially the washer) still shook the house when they got going. I cut out circles of Sorbothane and put them in the circular depressions in the pads, then set the feet of the appliances on the Sorbothane - now you have to be in the same room to even know if the appliances are running. Amazing!

Have loved sorbothane for many decades
I still remember way back in 1982 when this product was first released. It does its job very well. Buy it from Amazaon but go to the company's web site to learn more about it and its uses. I put it under electronic equipment to make them less noisy as when the vibration caused by the fan is reduced they become quieter. I am thinking about buying the ones for washing machine legs

I used the Sorbothane sheets in a DIY vibration isolation platform I built for my turntable. I had initially used recycled rubber under a sheet of marble, and that worked well, but there was a little murkiness in the bass. I put the Sorbothane between the marble and rubber and really noticed a difference. The lower frequencies became clearer, more articulate. The Sorbothane was by far the most expensive part of the platform, but it really did improve the sound of the turntable.

Brill product, used between top of loudspeaker stand and new MDF top plate it will assist in stopping loudspeaker resonance passing through the loudspeaker stand into a suspended timber floor. Use Focal Polipods between MDF top plate and underneath of loudspeaker (No resonance passes from loudspeaker to floor through loudspeaker stand).

The product took a while to arrive. It is not cheap, you also need to take into consideration shipping costs almost £10. Not the easiest material to cut neatly in a circle due to elasticity. Used a hot blade to neaten the edges. Managed to double up the thickness for what I required. Very useful on a number of projects. Good level of tackiness. The website could have linked to the product site that confirms optimum weight and performance data. Likely to thin for a lot of projects.
