This meant the Tag watch was not being worn and being kinetic, without any movement, resulted in the watch stopping within 48hrs. I therefore purchased this Watch Winder.The watch winder can be operated either by 2No x AA batteries or by mains via a on/off switch at the rear of the unit. Initially I tested the unit with batteries and found this worked perfectly, but since I wanted to operate the unit using mains in the long term, I removed the batteries.The instructions say it is best to place the watch in the unit when it is fully wound - I however placed the watch in the unit when it was fully unwound. This was so I could tell whether or not the device actually worked!!The watch strap fitted snuggly around the central part of the housing. When plugged-in, the central part of the unit initially rotated in a clockwise direction for a period of 2 minutes and then stopped (as it is meant to) for a period of 6 minutes after which, it started to rotate in an anticlockwise direction. This operation is continuously repeated. The motor is super silent and is very difficult to hear once the lid is closed.I checked the watch after a 24hr period and found that it was still ticking and maintained the time - result!!I had read reviews where some people had to place the unit on its' side for the watch to work - for my watch, the unit worked perfectly in its' intended upright position.This is a great product and excellent value for money!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Works Quietly Away in the Background *by R***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 July 2020* This Watch Winder works wonderfully.
