I spent a couple of hours researching replacements - not wanting to spend quite as much as Audiotechnica was charging for theirs (about a third of the price of new pair of ANC9s.) I ordered these because at the price point, it was worth a risk. They ARE thinner than the original ear pads, but the size in the same. The materials and construction are on par or even better than the originals. I was concerned about the more shallow sound-space effecting base response, but if there is any effect it isn't noticeable. In fact, vocals seem cleaner with these pads (movie, tv watching etc.) They are slightly more comfortable than the originals - because the overall feel is the same - and they are slightly lighter which is an added bonus. Even after watching installation Youtube videos, it took me over 30 minutes to put on the first pad. But after learning the trick, it took less than 5 minutes to replace the second. Because they are thinner, you definitely want to replace both at the same time. EDIT: 2 1/2 years before they started cracking on the outside. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Fit , Comfortable and Lasted longer than OEM *by D***S on Reviewed in the United States on July 24, 2020* As of today 2020-07-24, it's been 16 months since I bought these. The outer leatherette-looking layer started to strip after a year. I might just rub the rest of it off, to make it uniform and so that it matches the old headband.Despite that I still highly recommend these pads for the ANC-9. They're much cheaper than OEM yet, after over a year, they still haven't split down the inner seam like the OEM's and all the other cheap garbage you can find on here or EBAY.They were a little tight to put on but they're more comfortable , and definitely durable compared to the alternatives.
