Great perm. I buy a perm every now and then to perm my bangs so they don't go flat. Does the job. Easy to use.

I have very fine thin hair now that I'm 50 and I was worried that a perm would damage it and was looking for the most gentle one. This is it! It did a great job on most of my hair. Honestly I was so worried about damage I didn't put it on the outside layer until about 10 minutes before rinsing, so it didn't take as well, but the rest got perfectly curly and has stayed that way for 6 weeks now. You're supposed to wait 4 months before re-perming, But I plan on using this again and leaving it on everywhere for the full time. Do read the instructions well and possibly even go to their site. Good info there with more detail.

Great, tight soft curls, but, wow, does the solution stink, it burned/stung my hands, and caused a tickle in my nose that I couldn’t get rid of for 24 hours. If you have asthma and/or allergies or just don’t want to stink up your home, do not use this one. Ps, I’ve used Zotos for years and have never encountered this level or stink nor have I experienced burned/stinking skin before.

Great perm..I have used it several times. Last time it caused a terrible itching on my scalp..I had to shampoo my hair a few hours after I completed the perm.. never had a reaction like that before and I have been perming my hair for years… used the same perm for a friend and she had the same reaction..

I have used these perms before, with no problem, but this time there was a slight issue. If you have used this perm before you know there is a plastic cap given to place over the head after waving lotion has been put on hair. This time though the plastic cap would not open…it was basically a piece of plastic. My mind started racing trying to solve the problem and I ended up getting Saran Wrap and placing it over the curlers. A little inconvenience but it solved my problem.

I think that the best review here has the directions for this product, because it demonstrates how easy it is to use. If one has the patience, which I don't, they could easy perm their own hair using this. My only comment would be to PROTECT THE EYES, because this is an ACID perm. My wife's best friend used this to do a perm on my hair at home, and six months later, I got a professional perm that cost $70. The home perm was better. This product delivered good curls, good body afterwards, and lasted months. One huge thing the directions show is that you do not need the complex steps taken at the salon with this product. The hair drying process, for example, likely will damage your hair and/or defeat the perm. Just follow the directions, do not try to do what worked for you with other products. And another warning, I learned the hard way, DO NOT use any conditioner of any kind for several days before getting any perm. This includes shampoos containing conditioner. Use only plain or clearing shampoo or soap. The conditioner interferes with absorption of the product into the hair.
