Review: Amazing - will be buying more!!!! - I love this little thing so much. It works with every single one of my phantom powered microphones, and it seems to boost the quality, by providing better amplification than the preamps built into my zoom H4 essential recorder. So not only do you raise the volume, but you also give a lot more separation between the audio and the noise floor. I put the inline amplifier right by the microphone, and then have the cable running to the mixer or recorder. This way it boosts the signal before it is transmitted and is less likely to pick up noise . This thing works really well, and I will buy more as I need them for my ever expanding setup. Highly recommend to anyone looking to improve their existing microphones and recording setup.
Review: Works well on my AT2035 - Does the job at providing preamp for my AT2035. I have it connected to a Steinberg UR22 mk2, before I used to have to crank the gain on the Steinberg interface almost all the way up to get acceptable levels, causing the audio to lose some quality. With the Fethead hooked up, I barely need to turn the interface gain halfway to get the same levels, resulting in better quality. Normally I would've expected the opposite to happen with the Fethead increasing the noise floor, but that doesn't seem to be the case (at least to my ears).

**Q: I have an AudioTechnica 350 condenser mic. Will this be a good option to give it a boost for mobile recording, or would another mic be better altoget?**
A: Yes! I actually use it on my Aston Origin large Condensers!  I prefer Aston because they’re the lowest priced condenser mic that has almost no floor noise/ White noise or hiss. Which can get in the way if you recording sounds of nature. Good luck.

**Q: Which fethead do I need for the SM58?**
A: Regular fet head since a sm58 does not need power.

**Q: If i add the phantom fethead, with my scarlett 2i2 audio interface (that provides 48v phantom power), will it increase mic power to my cardiod mic?**
A: If you have a dynamic or ribbon microphone, yes!  I have used this exact combination to great effect

**Q: Will this model work on a condenser tube microphone?**
A: Yes, this is made for any low output powered mics (condenser) since it allows power to pass through to run the mic. The other Fetheads are made for dynamic mics.

I love this little thing so much. Makes my condenser sound perfect. Before I had a lot of noise. None now and the tone of it seems to be a lot better. For those who say the connection is loose then only connect it to cables and not the mic. Mine fits my cables nice and snug. Love it. I have a Cloudlifter for my ribbon and dynamics but this for my condenser is great. I also have an Aston Stealth with built in boost.
