Perfect. Absolutely beautiful phone.
Perfect. Absolutely beautiful phone. Edit: 05/06/19 Update I think I originally bought this back in January. It was a solid phone for five months. On a day-to-day basis, I use a Samsung S8 for IT work and this Blu Vivo XL4 for personal use. There were considerable performance differences but as far as how it looked and held up against time, I really think this phone was a phenomenal deal. I would recommend it for anyone that isn't in IT or development or needs a high-performance phone for x, y, and z reasons. This will easily handle social media, netflix, internet browsing, email, etc just fine. It would be a very good phone for the intermediate user. Trust me, unless you are using your phone as a work device on a regular basis, this is an exceptionally valued phone. * Screen is impeccable, absolutely love it. * Intuitive design, everything - power buttons and the like - is where it's supposed to be (according to me, lol). * I had a tempered glass screen protector but it was funky so I removed it and there have been no scratches or cracks on the screen for several months until I dropped it two stories down. It hit every concrete step and then flew a whole story off the apartment stairs. I mean, nothing would have survived that. Not even me. So it was a champ for a very long time. * Great battery life. * Wasn't USB-C but it was a fast charge with the right adapter and cable. * Storage was not enough for me towards the end, but I ended up downloading a lot of stuff inadvertently for work or other productive reasons (microsoft apps and the like) but also for things like Audible and email to voicemail downloads, etc. * RAM was not enough for me towards the end. I ended up doing a factory data reset just to be sure and as it turns out, I needed a higher spec phone for the things I wanted and needed to do. This is a great phone. I made my brother jealous and he bought an iPhone X at around the same time that I bought this because the screen was pretty amazing and he paid 9-10x as much for his phone (ouch, brother, ouch). Again, this isn't going to handle an intensive load very well. It operates under 1.5GB of RAM just for regular OS apps and services, so you're really only working with 1.5GB of free RAM. Honestly, that's enough to do what most people want to do. You don't need a flagship phone anymore to watch youtube or get on social media. We need to move away from that trend. Buy only what you need and the flagship phone manufacturers will start coming down in price - as they should anyways since technology improves over time. A huge heartbreaker for me was, towards the end, messages and calls weren't being received as often as they probably should have been but my Galaxy would get them with no problem. I would later get them if I sent a text out or made a phone call. The bluetooth stopped working with some but not all of my devices. Not sure what was going on there but I didn't investigate too much. I paid $129 for crying out loud. That's a steal compared to the "more than my rent or mortgage payment" cost of a flagship phone these days. Overall, I'd recommend it to intermediate users or those who lost a phone and need something in the interim until they have enough money to buy a flagship.

Best phone I've bought!
Let me preface this by first saying I was extremely skeptical of buying what was, to me, a previously unheard of tech brand! I typically stick to phones that are more mainstream and carried through whatever service carrier I'm currently with. This phone has completely changed my perspective on that! I had originally ordered a certified refurbished S7 off of Amazon, but after that phone did not end up working properly, I decided to take a chance and order this phone after I returned the defective S7. I have had this phone not quite a full week and have only had to charge it three times, and I'm a person who does a LOT on their phone. The speed is easily on par with the S7 as well as actually faster than my old ZTE. It's easy to use and, for me, the absolute perfect size. Screen quality is amazing, especially when you consider the fact that this is a very affordably priced phone. The ONLY thing I am not 100% happy with is the camera, and even that is still about 98% satisfaction. In bright lighting it takes AMAZING pictures. Low light isn't fantastic, but dabbling around with the different models and settings can get a passable low light picture. (I came from a Galaxy S7, so I might just be nitpicking and unfairly comparing this phone to a phone that costs several hundred more.) The call quality is also a pleasant surprise! Knocks my old ZTE out of the park, and while I only received one phone call on the S7 (it did not consistently receive phone calls, which is why I returned it) it seems pretty comparable to the call quality of that. The fingerprint scanner isn't super quick to respond, but it works every time without fail, which is more than I can say for my ZTE. I LOVE this phone. I have it on MetroPCS and the service is fantastic, especially considering I live in a remote area. I have not experienced any issues with WiFi connectivity, as others have mentioned. I will say that I did need to get a sim size adapter to get it up and running on MetroPCS, but that isn't really a problem so much as a heads up if you experience activation problems, and haven't tried a sim adapter. I can't recommend this phone enough! Considering the price (I purchased at 139.99) it is an extremely impressive piece of technology. It easily can hold its own with significantly more expensive phones. If you need a new phone, don't waste hundreds and hundreds of dollars! Just grab one of these because I can safely say it's very unlikely you will regret it.

My 5th BLU phone. . . Better Than Some
The hard part about BLU phones is that there are so many being released over the course of a year that you never know if you're going to get a quality build where they hit the sweet spot, or a short-lived piece of garbage. So far, so good with this one. Bear in mind this is an early, quick review (I've had this phone a week) but thusfar I've had absolutely zero issues with it. The processor is snappy, the screen is exceptionally bright, and the Android Nougat build is far better than Marshmellow. Battery life has been absurdly good and long-lasting. I only plug it in to charge once every 48 hours. I replace my BLU phone approximately every 8-14 months due to physical damage and some have held up better than others. We'll see how we do this time around. Also of note I have had zero issues with connecting to Xfinity Wi-Fi here in California and my AT&T service is excellent with this phone. I usually cruise the reviews quite through before choosing a new model BLU, I would say for the price point, storage, and processor speed in combination with the hardcore battery life this is the one to get. The Life X3 was a garbage phone that lasted less than 6 months and so was the second go round w the Energy series. BLU's first Energy phone was awesome and so was their Advance series. This is my first time w a Vivo and it's working FAST and flawlessly. If I run into issues, I will update this review. Currently, I am very happy with the purchase.
