The Andersons Barricade 50 lb Bag

I have used this for 2 years. Very effective. Much better than Preen. I don't like mulch because it is expensive, has to be replaced about every two years, and moves into my lawn when it rains. In the places I placed it two years ago, still no weeds except the occasional dandilion or other big weed variety. I did not reapply this year in several places without any weeds so I'll see what the Spring season brings. I'll try to remember to update the review. Great product!

My first full summer in my new house. Hard to tell since previous owners did terrible job keeping up the lawn. Crab grass seems limited, but the cloves came up like crazy. Using a spray herbicide on those now, and will probably apply a post-emergent in June. I'd have to spread again in fall then next spring to see full extent.

2021 update: guys, just buy a bottle of Negate for the Poa, it gets rid of it. Problem solved. It also gets rid of broadleaf and a ton of other weeds. I used my spray in Prodiamine this year, and didn't buy the Barricade. Yard looks AMAZING BLAZING! 2020 UPDATE: Ugh, I think this year has the worst weeds ever. I did notice we don't have half the Poa Annua we did last year. I think applying it earlier this year will help. Update: Applied another bag in September. So that is the max I can put down. I better not see a weed next season :) . Took one bag in my AgriFab spreader to completely cover my 1/2 acre front lawn, the results are yet to be determined since this is the first time using it, but we'll see! Love how it dissolves so quickly into the soil after one short water, followed by another short watering to get it good and down into the soil! This is part of a program I'm following online. So far Anderson's products are perfect!! This is the beginning process of reclaiming my lawn from weeds and a careless lawn-spraying service. I ended up putting 2 bags down since I think the 1st one was washed away. Next season we should have FAR FEWER WEEDS!

I've been battling with po anna (annual bluegrass) in my tall fescue lawn for some time now. Using this product in the fall and spring has eliminated 90% of it in a year and a half.

I really like this product for preemergent. Of course it is for next years weeds. Nice size for my yard and a friends

This product is amazing and anyone writing less than 5 stars isn't applying correctly (amount or timing). After reading reviews, we decided to make this purchase and cannot be more pleased. We have a newer home and trying to establish our yard. We are at the end of culdesac so we get everyone elses run off which means we get an entire road of weed and what not every time it rains. This is our second season and we are just amazed. You can almost SEE the line between us and our neighbors who refused to listen to us. We have massive yard in NC. Put down one bag for entire yard and like magic... Weeds are suppressed impressively. We are putting down one bag at end of February and one bag at end of September. And our yard is getting to be perfect!!! Will recommend and keep using each year!!!
