CURT 51515 Quick Plug Universal Electric Trailer Brake Controller Wiring Harness

Works as advertised. Has the right connector to interface with a CURT time delay brake controller, so once wired in, it's very easy to swap out any CURT brake controller without rewiring anything. The individual wires are much longer than needed, so I can cut them all to the perfect length. Being under the dash, there's also no need for the protective sleeve (and in fact, I couldn't route the individual wires where they need to go with that sleeve in place). But I just pulled that off and used it to cover the +12V wire under the hood. All in all a great value.

If you have minor splicing experience this is a good option to install the Curt trailer brake controller. Quick and easy, I used heat shrink and electrical tape as well as wire loom just because I had all of it, but definitely bit needed. Just use some 22-18 gauge butt splices and the job is done.

Ok so I'm inpatient. I recieved my brake controller from curt and ordered this pigtail, the pigtail came a few days over the controller. I cut the pigtail off the controller and hard wired it in because it arrive first. After seeing this harness I'm upset I did. It is a real quality piece. I cant wait to use the pigtail for something else. With the pigtail I cut off of the controller. Controller works perfect also.

Not much to say beyond it works.

Harness worked, my concern was that the controller did not come with any wiring harness. This was a harness with pig-tail wires to connect into the vehicle electrical system or connect with your vehicle brake system plug. I found out that other brake controllers furnish a generic wiring harness with the controller! It is stupid to sell a product without a harness to match its unique plug! It worked, but I will never buy another Curt product. I had to wait a week to get the harness delivered.
