You get what you pay for. *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2019* I was really excited to use these for my daughter’s outdoor evening wedding but I was disappointed with the quality. It only required 4 AA batteries to power 500 lights so I will admit I was a bit skeptical to start with. I ordered 10 strands and they were quite dim to start with but there were a BUNCH of lights. However, not even half-way through the event (and it was a quick event-3 hours max) they started dimming quickly and stopped working completely. We changed out the batteries in the middle of the party. Also, two of the 10 strands didn’t work AT ALL. I guess you get what you pay for. If I turn it on at 9 pm one night, it comes on automatically at 9 pm every night until I change the time.I gave 4 stars because it drains batteries so quickly. It uses 4 batteries and when I put in energizer batteries I have to change them every two weeks. The brightness gets weaker as the battery weakens. We used 2 stings of 500 lights each. People kept saying "here comes the meteor cart". We lit up the whole street. We bought extra batteries but didn't have to use them.
