It looks OK in the same nice matt black as the stove and seems to get hot and gently boil which is fine. It does however always create a bit of a smell when used and has discoloured on the inside. I have not noticed the steam to help the air quality in the room; it's not a big room and still gets very dry air when the fire is on, which is what this is supposed to be for.
