Electro Harmonix EL34 Quartet Matched Pairs Power Tubes Review: Nice tubes matching is not perfect - Bought two matched quartets, matching on one of them was dead on the other had one of the tubes a bit low. Noticed the low one in my dynaco ST-70 when setting the bias. Since my other el34 has individual bias pots for each tube I used the set with the one low tube in it and the other in the st-70. Tubes work great and sound good. Packing could be better for glass but everything was intact recommend but watch out for matching if you don't have an amp with individual bias Review: Hard to Beat - I tested these against several other EL34 tubes for use in my Willsenton R8 stereo amplifier. I did A/B comparisons with Tung-Sol EL34, JJ Tubes EL34, and Mullard re-issue EL34 tubes. I liked these best and they were the second cheapest of the group. I realize my sound impressions rely heavily on my matched components and my personal ears, but the combination of these tubes with Tung-sol 6sl7 preamp tubes sounded so real it gave me goosebumps. The others sounded great too, but these just sounded "real".

I’ve bought tubes from China directly, shipped in box no issues. MUST be shipped in box.
Electro Harmonix, good brand. Amazon who I’ve ordered tubes from before with no issue, in their infinite wisdom threw these in a paper bag? Opening up I could hear broken glass. Two of four are broken. 😤🤯

These tubes are very musical and provide great bass. I would order them again.

I wouldn't use any other EL34s
I put these tubes in a Peavy Windsor. I also switched out all my preamp tubes with Electro Harmonix 12AX7. These tubes made it sound like I bought a new amp. The Windsor is supposed to be a sort of Marshall single-channel rock machine knock off, but you won't get that killer sound unless you get the stock tubes out of there. These tubes are straight up amazing for the price. My ears hear warm, buttery, cascading natural overdrive when you keep you preamps low and let the volume knob push the power tubes into overdrive. I like em. A lot.

Great tubes.
Used in a mesa dual rectifier. Sounds great and really shows that it should have been an el34 amp all along.

Cant find sovtek anymore and these did not disappoint at all very happy with the tone and the seller!!
