If you are a homeschooling mom and not sure where to start.. Buy this curriculum! After a year of using another curriculum faithfully and seeing my son get more and more frustrated I started to research other options. I came across this one through the recommendation of several online reviews and friends who had used it and loved it. My first impression was that it was easy to use without much daily prep (open and go) and that it was logical in implementing various practice methods for the concept taught to promote mastery, something my other curriculum was severely lacking. After 9 months, I still love this curriculum and my son has gone from slowly sounding out every three letter word to reading compound words. We had to work through alot of attitude issues along the way, but this curriculum gave me the confidence to tell him that if he just kept working hard it would get easier and now he is seeing that is true too!

In just 6 weeks of study, my son is reading. The lessons are not to tedious and they build on each other. I love it and recommend this to anyone having a hard time teaching their child to read.
