length x height is confusing. Is it 8' wide by 4' long or 4' wide by 8' long? Wide being end to end when rolled, length being top to bottom unrolled

It is 4’ wide 8’ long, it is rolled up when you receive it, then just unroll it like you are rolling out a carpet. I am using this as my tiki bar top, I will approx, 2 1/2 ‘ using painters tape then draw my line on top of the tape an use a very blade an cut it, by using the tape, it helps the bamboo not to splinter when cutting it, I then will put this on top of my pressure treated sheet of plywood, the ONLY use polyurethane on top of it to seal from water. Put at least 3- coats on. Do not shalac it, if you do while using both, it will start to flake as it is meant for the outdoor elements. You can use both ONLY if the bar is staying inside only. Hope this helps...

Can this be cut to fit and what do you use to cut it?

I’ve used 4 rolls of this in decorating my Tiki bar… you can use anything from good construction scissors to a circular saw to cut it easily!

Is it possible to use this material as a sliding tambour door if fashioned into a piece with appropriate tracks?
