For personal use, I use a nicer book, but I decided I wanted a much cheaper one for work purposes.I had been doing just the rapid log dailies for work in a larger regular notebook, but it was almost full, so I shopped around for something more suitable to my needs as a full blown Bullet Journal for work use, and at a smaller size, and a much cheaper price. I liked the sturdy, plastic cover, and the dotted pages of this journal. I don't care much that the pages are not perfectly cut (see photos) or that it isn't the fanciest. I was looking for low cost, but not too flimsy. This notebook works for me.The plastic covers are translucent and the first/last pages tend to stick to them, which is great if you want to use the first page as your cover. Draw or write whatever you like and the cover protects it. I was also confused when it first arrived, because the elastic strap was not on it. I realized later that it was included, but was not attached. Slight assembly is required, but it was simple to install.I have now been using this notebook for several months and have implemented more of the wonderful Bullet Journal features to get my work projects organized. The dotted paper is good for keeping things lined up and for drawing straight lines freehand, when necessary. My work pen of choice (Pilot Precise V5RT Retractable) does not bleed through the paper, though there is some ghosting if you care about that. Personally, I do not. I just need it to hold my information in one, portable and organized place.I like this notebook for use as my work notebook. It is a convenient but not ridiculously small size, sturdy, has a sufficient number of pages, and serves my needs as a work Bullet Journal. I expect to purchase another one as soon as I get close to filling this one up. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great for (dry) fountain pens *by D***. on Reviewed in the United States on August 6, 2020* Well constructed notebook, the back cover has two holes to thread the stretchy band that will keep the notebook closed. Both front and back cover is made of stiff transparent plastic (about the toughness of a plastic water bottle). Spiral is large enough that laying the notebook flat or flipping through pages is easy and effortless.Paper is 100gsm which makes for a thick paper. I got this notebook to refill an A5 journal. Since my hospitalization, I write with a fountain pen to improve my horrible penmanship (it had greatly improved, but I still have a long ways to go). My review will focus on how to use this notebook with fountain pensWhat worked well was all of my pens, from EF to a 1.1 stub, using Pelikan 4001 Royal Blue which is known as a "dry" ink. No bleed through on the paper and no feathering that I could see. I switched three of my pens to Monteverde Ruby ink prior to taking the pictures.After i switched to the wetter Monteverde Ruby ink, only the EF did well. F nibs wrote with thicker lines than the medium and the ink bleeding was easy to spot. The 1.1mm stub bled through the paper; the stub nib with the Monteverde ink lays down a virtual river of ink that the paper can't handle.Picture shows various writing instruments; the ball point pens work fine. Frixion pens and markers worked great. For some reason I had a dry erase marker handy (bad idea) and tried it. As an alcohol based ink, it bled right through the paper as expected.Next I tried my collection of fountain pens. The ones that worked well on this notebook are the EF/Fine nibs with wetter ink like the Monteverde or any size nib with a drier ink like Pelikan. My Wing Sung drew a thicker line that my Deli with a medium nib, and there was a bit of ink bleeding using the wetter Monteverde ink. The TWSBI with the stub nib and wet ink just soaked the paper--you can almost, but not quite, read it from the back.Summary: Use a dry ink that's regular paper friendly and a medium nib or smaller. If you use a wetter ink, stick with an EF nib to limit how much ink you put down on the paper. This is a good general rule for most notebook papers, not just this one. ### ⭐ Cheap quality *by M***E on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2019* The notebook is cute, love the clear cover.... But the pages are very thin! See through thin. And a lot of them are wrinkled. I wanted to use this for my bullet journal but my markers and pens bleed through and you can see ghosting. I tried to return this but it says it's not eligible for returns. Glad I only paid $5.00 but still, not happy with this.
