As part of a convoluted multi-PC, multi-monitor setup for my wife, this cable helped me hook up her GeForce 760 to a DisplayPort monitor.

I use it for my second monitor and works very well. Excellent product and would buy again

Good product, did the job

For a low cost DVI/VGA only motherboard, this has done the trick connecting to my ASUS ProArt 16:10 monitor. meets the spec: 1920x1200 at 60Hz+

A great piece of kit that does the job of converting a dvi video card output into a hdmi screen without issue. Only negative I'd say is high price, I think a more reasonable price point would be between £10 and £15

I bought one of these roughly around April last year, and after 4 months it just decided to stop working. So I went through the returns procedure which I had to contact startech directly for, and go through a bunch of rigmarole. I then had to pay for the replacement and I would get a refund on return of the faulty unit. In all honesty I couldn't be bothered returning the faulty unit in the end as it was major faff and I had a lot on, so I effectively just bought another one. Fast forward another 4 months or so and BOOM. Its just randomly stopped working yet again. I highly advise against this product and would recommend looking elsewhere.

Works great. It was a little more expensive than I anticipated, but it allowed me to connect two computers to a higher quality monitor (one with HDMI and one with DVI). I switch between them using the change inputs buttons on the monitor.

Works fine, even at absolute maximum resolution.

My second Apple LED Cinema Display 24" comes with a built in Mini DisplayPort cable but I do not have another such port on my old Mac Pro 2009. This dongle goes directly onto the remaining DVI port on the graphics card and works perfectly with an additional DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort Connector. (This connector is just changing the shape of the DisplayPort connection anyway. No conversion was done.) After a reboot, the second display is immediately recognized! It's exactly 1920x1200 which is the max of SL-DVI. Price is a little bit high but I cannot expect much for an active connector that even needs to be powered.
