I'd actually given up until one day I took my mom to the local military base hospital to pick up a prescription and there were Marines scanning folks at the door.I saw how quickly and effortlessly this was happening and I asked if there was a brand name or model number on the device. There was. I searched on my phone and surprised to find the exact match on Amazon. For a price I really didn't expect to see. With Prime 2 day delivery!This thermometer is all it's described to be. Clear instructions, easy to use. Right out of the box just point and shoot (after putting the batteries in of course) with the default settings and you're good to go. The one thing that surprised me was that there is no laser pointer. When I first tested it against another for accuracy I found it to be off by about 1.5 degrees.
