Easy to install and effective
Really easy to apply and have worked really well for us. We’ve used them across two cupboard doors to keep them shut and around the edges of drawers so they can’t be pulled open. It doesn’t allow a gap to open like other devices meaning the little one isn’t at risk of trapping his fingers.

More than easy to apply and easy to use every time you have to open it.

Easy to use
Easy to place and use. Haven’t tried removing one yet so not sure how if the adhesive will leave any damage to surfaces.

These are ok . But not great.
Got these to fix on the drawers and pulls in kitchen. few of the locks were defective in the box. I had to pick and choose the working ones to fix. The locks are not sturdy too. I wouldnt recommend this.

Stickiness wears off after less than a week
The stickiness on these wears off after less than a week posing a safety issue for your kids. Would highly dissuade anyone from purchasing this as a safety feature for kids/ toddlers

I originally used them on the kitchen cabinet below the kitchen sink preventing access to chemicals. It then occurred to me that I could use them elsewhere so I started using them on the freezer because my freezer is the bottom part of my fridge and I also started using them on my media center doors preventing access to media players and DVD's. Since my daughter was an infant & could crawl to the media cabinet she would open it and pull out all the DVDs it drove me insane and it was nothing I could do other than tie up string on it to keep her out of it. The cabinet locks are amazing. They're well-made and high-quality easy to install and easy to remove and they do work. They are not some cheap plastic product or at least they don't feel that way. With them being installed the 3M product it's reassuring for removal. They're not difficult for adults to open and my daughter no longer gets in my media cabinet. It was nice that she couldn't get into the freezer and then where the chemicals are however she's already used to me having told her no so many times that she didn't really try anymore so it was more of something that just generated curiosity and she wanted to play with it. However the media cabinet was always something she just did not adhere to the word no until now.

How do you keep your toddler out of your lazy susan with minimal annoyance? These cabinet locks! We had a stool, yes a stool, just sitting in front of our lazy susan for the longest time because otherwise the contents would get emptied out onto the floor. The stool sat partially in front of the stove too so that was also annoying to have to move it not only to get into the lazy susan, but the stove too. We installed this and our son, of course, had to go check it out. The lock held up great, he was pushing on the lazy susan and pulling on the lock itself and it didn't budge! Our main use has been on our lazy susan and tall cabinets but when our kiddos figure out the fridge, one will definitely be slapped on there too. Yes, slapped, because we found them so simple to install. We obviously haven't had to remove one yet so I can't speak to how well they come off but the instructions gave very easy advice on how to remove them. These aren't my first choice for the standard two-door cabinets simply due to the fact that I think I'd prefer the internal ones or the ones that wrap around the handles. However, I love them for our lazy susan, tall cabinets, and, one day soon, our appliances. One thing I would have appreciated is color choice. Generally, you want your childproofing to blend in but our cabinets are black so these are very obvious. Brown may not be a bad idea too since a lot of people have wood faced cabinets.

I was on the search for something that would help keep my dog out of certain off limit areas that she likes getting into. One area was the trash can. Even with the lid, she would find ways to lift the lid up to get snacks out of the trash and ultimately end up getting sick from eating it. I placed one of these locks on the top of the trash can I keep in the kitchen and now she's unable to raid the trash. Another spot she would try to get into is my closet because my closet door won't really stay closed. Since she's still a youngster, I didn't want her to get into any mischief in there so I used one of the locks on the outside of my closet to help keep it closed. I also placed one on top of our toilet so she can't nuzzle the lid up and drink water from the toilet. And lastly, I placed one on her food bin just for extra protection because she's just too smart for her own good. I had some extras left so I ended up giving them to my friend who has a cat that likes to get into the cabinets. Her cat opens the cabinets and then hides inside them so she uses them to keep her cabinets closed and her cat out. Overall, these safety locks have been amazing - the only thing I would say I was not really happy with was the part of the lock during initial set up. You have two ends to the lock. One end is where you can latch and unlatch once it is installed. The other end is where you set the length and lock the end (permanently) once you have it ready for the place you want it installed. Initially, I didn't fully read the instructions and accidentally ended up locking "Part A" before I measured the strap length of where it needed to go. So make sure you measure before actually setting that one end (Part A) into place because once it is set, it is permanent. For this reason, I give it 4 stars vs 5. The locks are very high quality though and easy to use once you get the jest of the slide unlatch end. Takes a little bit but once you figure it out, it is very intuitive. Recommend this for any pet owners who are trying to keep their dog (or even their cat) out of certain areas!

I'm using the locks for my cabinets where I store my cleaning supplies (the same cabinets that my cat always prys her way into)! I'm happy to say that neither cat nor baby, has managed to break in since installing them. They have saved me a huge headache! I'm also using them for drawers where I keep knives and screwdrivers and I also have one installed on my toilet so that it is no longer a drowning hazard. They are wonderful, secure and they work SO WELL. I highly prefer them over other locks that I've tried in the past.

My husband said it was easy to install. The locks work great so far with our 1 year old walking toddler. We have it on a toilet, dressers, nightstands, and cabinets. We don't think our toddler will be able to open the locks any time soon. He stopped trying to open the drawers. These are affordable as well. Initially bought 2 boxes for our ends and ended buying a third. Glad I found them!
