Performance is good - the USB 3.1 interface doesn't gimp the transfer rates in any way that I have noticed in day to day use.The rugged features area mixed bag, unfortunately:It has good amount of edge and corner protection but the top and bottom offer next to none. There is a small square of adhesive foam to affix to the underside of the removable top plate but that's all. There no protection underneath the drive, and no room to add any.
