Reading made fun
Loved this book before and now sharing it with another 2 yr old. This is a hands on interactive book. He picks this book every day and laughs and actively follows along. Highly recommended

Such a fun book
My son got this for his first birthday and loved it! It’s so interactive and keeps little ones engaged with every page. I’ve gifted it to a few friends since — great quality hardcover and perfect for toddlers.

Amazing, creative, imaginative book for kids!!!
My grandkids are ages 4 to 7, and they all LOVE this book and another one by the author, titled _Mix It Up_. When I first got these two books, I thought they might be too cheesy for the kids. But from the first time I read them to the kids, they loved them so much that they would ask me to read them over again as soon as I had finished. They fully involve the kids' imaginations. The kids know that they're not actually mixing colors of paint, or that pressing on a colorful dot doesn't make the dots multiply on the next pages. But the books are so much fun that the kids suspend reality for a moment and thoroughly enjoy the experience. I wish I had had these books when I was a child, so I could kind of know what is running through their minds when I read to them - like I can when I read my favorite childhood book to them (Ferdinand the Bull). I enjoy these books as much as the kids, because I enjoy watching them experience the books, and pretend that they're mixing colors, and so on. I would love to hear a child development professional explain why these books are so good for them; I can only go by my motherly and grandmotherly instincts. I plan to buy some more books by this author, if they're as good as these two are.

A Wonderful Book!
LOL - okay, the wonderful review before mine is so chock full of great information on the book that I don't know how I can compare. (I think the review is longer than the book!) Truly a great review, so I'll just move onto reaction to book.I'm the mom of a 3-year-old daughter. I wasn't sure how she would react to the book. There are no cute characters. No flaps to lift. No scratch and smell, lights, music or holograms. LOL - it's truly a book! And it's made up of primary colors, circles, and basic sentences - that's it.So, I put her on my lap and began to read. Did she like it? Well, we had to read it 8 times the first night, 7 times the second night, 10 times the third night, etc., etc., etc. She hasn't gotten tired of it yet. This morning, my daughter had a doctor's appointment. As we sat in the waiting room, I took the book out and we began to read. Within moments, we were surrounded by every other child in the waiting room as they watched and listened in fasciation. This is truly a wonderful little book that proves imagination is more important and more effective than batteries!*-*-*-*-Product Update 11/16/13Well, my daughter is now 5 1/2 years old. As many books do, this one eventually ended up on a shelf filled with many other books. We're packing for a move and Press Here came to light again. I told my daughter that it had been her favorite book when younger, so she asked me to read it to her.My voice was soon tired as we had to read it six times in one sitting. Though she's old enough that the book doesn't seem quite so 'magic' anymore, she was still delighted with it. And even in her five-year-old wisdom, she did need to take a moment just to ask me if the book really was doing things when she pressed. She's now shared the book with her kindergarten class and the kids keep asking her to bring it back. And reading it again, I was just as delighted as I was the first time.

Fun for certain ages.
this is not what I expected, I really expected an interactive book. this book is more for ages 4-5 and up. two year olds have very little interest in it and little imagination. it is a fun book however for children who might have more of an imagination. its easy to handle and easy to read and it is creative, but again, not interactive just imaginative. I do like the concept of it and know that in a year or two it will be more fun. I would hardly describe it as magical, more like fun or creative. it came boxed perfectly no problems with the way it was shipped or received and it's very high quality. if I would have seen it in a book store I would not have paid what I did for it.

Engaging Book
Engaging book that interacts with small child. Teaches them a few colors, counting, tapping & softly touching. Also teaches them to hold on as you shake the book & roll to the side.

An interactive fun book !
I read amazing reviews of the book and I probably was more excited than my 2.3 year old about this book. And I sure am not disappointed. Its an beautiful, colorful, give-wings-to-your-imagination kinda book. The dots do amazing things - increase, change color, move to one side of the book, etc. The instructions accompanying the pages and simple and clear. But that said, this book did not engage my 2.3 year old a lot. He calls in the 'Dot book', but he loses interest at about page 4 or 5. Also while the cover is a hardcover, the pages inside are glossy and relatively thin. My independent 2 year old wants to turn them on his own and I am not sure it will withstand this assault. I have kept this book aside for now, and plan to reintroduce it when he is about 2.8 years. I am pretty sure he will love it.

Fun book for all ages!
Fun book for all ages, especially pre-school. The board book is sturdy and I use it in Kindergarten groups and it is really put to the test of being handed around and handled by many little hands. Can only recommend.

Kindergarten teacher here - ages 3-6 love this book!
As a kindergarten teacher, I sometimes bring in my own books to class for storytime - this being one of those books. My personal class ranges from 2-4 and they absolutely love this during storytime, as all 18 of them can intereact with the story while still sitting down. While I definitely wouldn't leave the book to the children as the inner pages would be ripped, the cover is pretty sturdy! I've even read it to the older kids in the kindergarten and they still really enjoy the interaction in the book.
