Kooky Pottery Toby Elephant

This was the first piece of Kooky Pottery I ordered.ABSOLUTELY love it. Have already ordered more of the other styles as gifts.Love the elephant's expression and that funny hat!VERY high quality, & comes in a clever decorative box. I loved this piece ... but 6 months later, nearly all of the colored portions have worn off!I did NOT put it in the dishwasher, just hand washed.But anywhere the item is handled (the black knob on top, the ears on the side), the paint/glaze seems to wear off.I've contacted the maker directly to see if she'd be willing to replace ours and recommend some way to treat the outside to keep this from happening again =(.
