Very great DVD drive. Had it for 2 or 3 years so far with no issues. Very compact and easy to hide under a desk. Best budget DVD drive on the market, also burns discs great. No loud noises or anything.

The drive works quietly and well. But if you have updated drivers, getting started is much easier. Slim design makes it easily portable. The read speeds of the drive are excellent and prevent delays in viewing or playing your media. The unit includes a combination cable.

Came quickly, works as described, plug and play with my Macbook. It's a little noisy but not anything unusual. Seems reasonably well built and if it lasts I'll be happy.

Starting out with 4 stars as I thoroughly test the unit. It is replacing a third party brand that while worked for some time, recently failed to burn, though it would play back. Extensive testing proved that; a repair on a low priced device was not worth the effort, so an HP brand was bought to compliment an HP 840 G8 laptop. So far it has burned just fine, and plays both audio CD and video DVD correctly. Do not expect compatibility with Blu-Ray format, this is not a Blu-ray player nor burner. I will up to 5 stars if everything continues to function as it should. All in all, you should be better off with this than a lower priced knockoff that may not stand the test of time. Upping to five stars. It is doing so it should.

Compared to the SSD I used before this conventional type drive is easier to load & review and has not "lost" any of my data or 4K videos!

It's made of the flimsiest plastic ever. It won't even open so I couldn't see if it works. Even worse the return window expired so now I'm out the price of $34.77 and stuck with this piece of junk. I thought I was safe ordering an HP product because my laptop is an HP and I wouldn't have any compatible issues but boy was I wrong ! It's so difficult to plug into and take out of the port I was afraid I was going to break the connector. I'm getting more and more frustrated with Amazon for dealing with the manufacturers of beyond suppar products. If the product is from a third party seller the return process is equally frustrating as well. There should be minus options on the rating scale because 1 star does not come close to reflecting inferiority of this item.

Fonctionne parfaitement avec mon pc de bureau HP. Cet appareil a été reconnu immédiatement par mon PC alors qu'un précédent achat a du faire l'objet d'un renvoi auprès d'AMAZON car aucun ordinateur ne le reconnaissait. DeE plus j'apprécie la longueur de son cordon de liaison qui permet de poser l'appareil sur le dessus de la tour

Overall, New what I was getting from a trusted brand, build quality was good and the overall finish of the product looked professional, operating fine - Laptop compatible with no set up issues - was plug and play. Overall, am very happy with this product.

Hoy en día los nuevos portátiles ya no vienen con la ranura para meter un DVD, entonces a través de este dispositivo puedes verlo perfectamente. Fácil de usar.
