It is my way of leaving my problems and concerns behind and immerse myself in a world that cannot hurt me, especially when my world is turning against me. I looked up the quote. It was from a book “Nothing You Don’t Already Know” by Alexander Den Heijer. I jumped on Amazon Prime, added to cart, placed order, and tracked my package like it was carrying a most precious treasure. Because it was. Like its title suggests, the book does not reveal anything we don’t already know. What the author does, so brilliantly, is he offers his own insight and poses questions that force us to think- to come up with the answers we’ve been looking for. We knew this stuff all along. We were just too blind or too scared to see what was already there. I read a quote years ago that stuck with me (I’m paraphrasing slightly): “We often learn more from looking for the answer than we do by finding it.” This is exactly what this book will do for you. By attempting to answer the questions in this book, you will learn so much about yourself. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. You won’t like it. You will love it. As do I.
