I saw this set of dishes on desertcart a few months ago and added them to my wish list until I could look at them more closely. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to go ahead and buy them. They arrived two days earlier than expected in excellent condition. As I opened each box the pieces were in I got more and more impressed with the quality of the set. The dinner plates are huge compared to my old set. The first time we used them we put way too much food on the plate and felt like gluttons. 🤭 The upward sloping edges are a great help to my husband as he is legally blind and constantly spilling if he's not careful. He's much more confident now when he eats and jokes about not having to wear his 'old man's bib' anymore. I'm very grateful for that. The salad plates are actually big enough to be used as dinner plates. Seriously, they truly are a very large size. We love them. The bowls are deceptively small looking, but they hold a lot of food. I was amazed at how much soup a bowl holds. My husband is an ice cream fanatic and thinks the bowls are a gift from heaven. 😄 The cups are smaller than we both prefer, but those of you who don't guzzle coffee by the gallon will find them just your size. What I love about them is their unusual shape. They look like a typical cup until you look into them and realize the inside is more squarish than round. My quirky personality finds this perfect and suits me just fine. The whole set is very well made. They're heavier than my old set and took some time for me to adjust to that difference, especially after putting some food on them. I am concerned about banging them on something and chipping them because of their weight but I suspect in time I'll adjust and not consider it a problem. The color scheme in my kitchen is black, white, and Coke Cola red as I'm a Coke collector. The main reason these dishes caught my eye was because of them being red and black. It's always rather iffy to buy something like this online because it's hard to judge how bright or dark the red is, or if they're more orange than red, etc. I took a chance on this set because I love the look of them and decided to trust I wouldn't be disappointed, and I'm not! I'd buy this set from this merchant again without any worry of being disappointed. I really couldn't be happier with this purchase. Review: Love - Awesome set. The perfect amount of dishes. Great for entertaining. Durable. I've had them for a few weeks now and there is no chipping of color or scratches from using the silverware, which is perfect for me and my OCD issues. The bowls are the perfect depth, I get a great amount of cereal and milk without spillage or having to go for a second bowl. Only thing is that the larger plates can't fit in my microwave. Well they fit but it won't be able to turn.
