I do have an iPhone that is water resistant but with the cost of these things why risk it?! 😂I loved the old case but the fingerprint plastic was so thin, eventually it ended up obtaining micro holes in it and letting water in anyhow 😭Finally decided to get this case as it was 100% protection all the way around and protects the important parts. Although not waterproof it is dust/dirt and lint proof and it was cheaper than life case! (Life case that is dust proof is 80$ plus no screen protection!)The only issues I have with the install was the fact it took me a min to figure out how to open the case to put my phone in 😂 getting the front to slide down was tricky at first.. there is a slight gapping in the sides where the base connects to the top cover but I’m not concerned too much. The switch on the upper left to silence your ringer was tough to move at first but it’s easy now. I don’t believe I broke it. The other thing I’m noticing is the screen cover kind of sucks and doesn’t sit flat on the screen making it look like the plastic is rippled and it desensitizes the touch on the screen when typing. I think that could be a simple fix with a glass screen protector on there to tighten the space between the plastic and the phone. I have not tried this theory but I will be as soon as I find a screen protector and order it. The power button is quite stiff and at times difficult to push.With the back of the case being textured I can’t put my magnet on the outside so placing it on the inside was the only option. Otherwise it would peel off the case when I pulled it off my dash mount. That’s no biggie though.All around this seems to be a solid case and I’m very much enjoying it! The case is great quality and so was the packaging! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better designed case than others I tried. *by L***W on Reviewed in the United States on November 4, 2019* I really like this case. I returned a metal Waterproof Heavy Duty case because it reduced the signal in one bar areas to the point I had no signal at all, but the Griffin case got a signal in those same weak areas and people could hear me without unsnapping the bottom. My iPhone 8+ had tempered glass already and the Griffin case which has a plastic cover fit over that cover nicely. This case locks together by sliding down top to bottom instead of snapping together or screws. I had not seen that design before, but it worked great. Even the mute button worked the first time. The clear plastic cover on the Griffin was also much more responsive to touch than the Waterproof brand case I returned. The rubberized armour has already survived a few drops with no visible marks.
