Reliable phone
This worked brilliantly. I did a straight swap from the old which had a faulty cable. The old one was used daily for 7 years for what I can gather so in my opinion it's reliable.

Not compatible with the handset it was to replace
I had to return this item because I discovered it wasn't compatible with the faulty handset I was going to replace. If you are thinking about buying one of these you should be aware that it has an electronic call signal and will not work on a system that has a buzzer as the call signal. One uses AC voltage and the other uses DC voltage. I only found this out after speaking to the Videx technical support prior to fitting it. A buzzer system needs a Videx 3101 handset.

Not a very good product
First of all, the packaging looks quite damaged. Also there is no manual with it to how to open it, connect it, install etc. Just the intercom handset(not even wrapped up to be protected) and the old box that looks all ripped up. Not sure if works yet as don’t have the manual to know how to install it yet. Will have to work it out somehow myself…quite disappointed! I know it is not that expensive but I do expect a new and intact product when I pay for it regardless of the price.
