Is this similar to the lp-e17 that is supposed to be for the eos rp?** A: Two different batteries, make sure you get the right on for your camera. **Q: Charging problems? For those that bought this and it wouldn't charge or keep a charge, didvyou use their charger or a Canon charger?** A: Whenever I’ve had a battery that quit holding a charge, I’ve tried both brands of chargers. Batteries do loose their charging power over time, I’ve definitely had batteries quit charging after a lot of multiple use. That’s why I carry 4 with me all the time.
